    It's a good topic. Best practice with MOGRTs from After Effects is to use a 1/4 preview. The sports MOGRT you've shown is fairly old and wouldn't pass Adobe Stock review today as they reject low-performance projects.

    I think the problem is not due to using or not using mogrt's, they are necessary and the entire industry appreciates it, I think the problem is that mogrt's distributors must categorize them, so that all those who are buying one or downloading one, have in advance the idea of how complex the mogrt will be to run on your pc or mac, and for that there could be a kind of categories that go from "easy mogrt" "standard mogrt" "hard mogrt" "don't fuck with me mogrt "

    Even with bullet point text .mograts are a bit slow. You can't keyframe them in PR anyway. They aren't quite advantageous enough yet to use as you would in apple motion FCP workflow. You might as well put an AE in the comp. I'm keeping my eye on using them as I like using AE with PR.

I used to do a tutorial when I worked at Adobe on a 40 core system with 256 GB RAM that would bring After Effects to its knees. Lot's of effects are still 100% CPU so that's never going to be as a fast as GPU accelerated effects.

      There is no solution to making After Effects faster other than buying a more powerful computer. Yes, you can render anything, then it plays as a video BUT, that doesn't solve the problem because it's no longer an editable title. After Effects will always be slower than Premiere Pro.

      RAM always helps after effects I have 64GB and AE can use around 40GB or more, at minimum you should have 16 GB with 32GB recommended. But ram is only responsible for holding the preview, its mostly CPU that impacts the slow preview load time

Bright side is, adobe thought it was their update🙄 (it probably was tho) . i have been getting the full creative cloud suite for $30 a month as their way of saying sorry i missed some deadlines. PRO TIP: DO NOT SET CREATIVE CLOUD TO UPDATE AUTOMATICALLY. YOU WILL BE IN THE MIDDLE OF A HUGE EDIT ON A SATURDAY MORNING AND THEN ALL THE SUDDEN.....FREEEEEEZZZZZEEEEE. CRASH. And you lost the last hour or so of progress, and have to wait until the download is finished. And then hope there isnt major issues between your project files and the new version of Premier. I am just now discovering this issue as well. I found that while an AE mogrt file plays slowly in Premiere, if I import the AE comp it will play back much faster. I am posting minutes after trying this so I don't have any definitive testing to refer to, but a quick look at my GPU's usage seems to show that Premiere doesn't use the GPU while rendering mogrts but does for playing back the imported AE comp.
    Could this be the issue and if so, any ideas on how to fix it?

    • @VideoRevealed
      @VideoRevealed  2 роки тому

      The whole idea behind a Mogrt vs a Comp is to provide controls for customization in Premiere Pro. If you just need the animation, then don't use a Mogrt.
      The Mogrt is not the same Comp. There is definitely more overhead with the Mogrt.

    Short answer is Premiere pro is nothing but a ball of garbage. It sucks that some third party plugin only work on this garbage and resolve has limited stuff like keying and animation if it only has that I have been long in the Davinci Resolve community. Final Cut is good but its really for standard work and not on fancy ones with lot of overlay speed ramping keying and masking.
    Mine can play mogrt but problem is it does framedrop from time to time and its annoying, in yours though i'd probably scream if mine was that slow, tbh if that was how my machine react on mogrt i'd probably throw it on the dumpster.

      As soon as you import a Mogrt, that launches Dynamic Link in the background. Dynamic Link is like a full version of After Effects, but without the user interface. It takes CPU and RAM resources and that's what might be causing the slowdown.

      It depends on how complex the After Effects project is and how powerful, or not, your system is. It's just like using After Effects itself, you can easily have a super dense project. It can get so slow that it's impossible to move the Timeline but you can always render out the final output on any system. But the whole reason behind Mogrts is interactivity but if you can interact, it's not that useful.

    Good to know, though I can't even do Mogrts as I run CS4, which can't even do them, at all as it predates these motion graphics, though I don't think that's true for After Effects files I generate (yes, I have the Master Suite of CS4) that can be dropped into Premiere. However, a mere Dell Optiplex 9020 with a Core i5 processor and 16GB of memory is just "adequate" for basic editing. :-) Graphics cards is an Invidia GFource 610GT that does reasonably well, though just adding titles (remember, I still run the legacy titler) and it stumbles until I render through them.

      No. But you can create your own mogrts in AE

    • @VideoRevealed

      It depends. Some Mogrts will require After Effects to be installed because the Dynamic Link version that Premiere Pro uses, does have limitations. If you're a Creative Cloud customer, then you already have After Effects.

    Hi all! I'm looking for help with a black screen upon "render and replace" of MOGRTs on my Premier timeline. It looks just fine on the timeline until I render and replace. At that point, it immediately turns the screen black in whatever segment the MOOGRT is in. The only semi clean fix I've found is to lower the opacity on the MOGRT. Issue with that is a noticeable darkening of the screen during that moment. Watch my short film Listen and you'll see what I mean. In the section where the text bubbles pop up on screen. Please help!

    Not quite. Working on AE is pretty fast (even on complex projects)... make it a MOGRT and goes dead slow on premiere. I have Years using AE, and no. AE is not nearly that slow. The exact same project will run 10x faster on AE than on premiere as a MOGRT.
    Which sucks, because the whole poing of MOGRT is having nice graphics on premiere

      @@videoediting2907 I upgraded EVERY component of my PC trying to figure out what was causing the slow playback speeds in Premiere and nothing worked. but It seems like the problem isn’t my computer at all, but instead it’s just the huge template files I’m always using in premiere. @Metalcore Highlights Dude I've been there. Is not your PC. MOGRT files are very poorly optimized. Do this: open the MORGT with After Effects and save it somewhere as an .aep then just drag and drop into premiere > select the comp you want. It will be faster working as an aep on premiere via dynamic link than a MOGRT file with controls within Premiere. Either way, a MOGRT is basically an aep project being rendered with After Effects in the background. You actually cannot use MOGRT files without After Effects installed in your system

    • @johnhpalmer6098
      @johnhpalmer6098 3 роки тому

      Yep, as Colin said, need the fastest CPU you can afford, the fastest GPU/graphics card, and the most memory your PC can support, then SSD drives for the OS/software, scratch discs and for saving to during the project. Mechanical drives are more than fine for things like backups and for archival storage where you'll only need to retrieve periodically from. So in other words, anything faster than either the Ryzen 5 or Core i5 processor.

    • @HarshVardhanArt
      @HarshVardhanArt 3 роки тому

      You can also try limited use of effects specially blur and sharpen effects, they make render very slow. Sometimes minimum colour grading will also help. Finally have a good graphics card which is must for faster rendering!
