This guitar was clearly designed to be versatile through the split single coil jazz' country, snappy traditional sound of a teli and the modern heavy, high gain, fat humbucker sound of metal!!!! its probably the most versatile guitar out right now. great job fender!!! it was a great review and showcase of classic teli style playing but this demo stopped short. we saw what one would expect from a teli but limited for the diversity of its capabilities. in my opinion we needed what we saw because it's important to see its still a teli but this guitar also needed to be plugged into a quality high gain amp and shredded to get the full effect of how versitile and desirable it might be. The dude can play that's for certain, he just should have showcased the guitars full potential.
Wow, Cooper! This is the ultimate with HH and SS frets, locking in the tones with the flexibility to play both clean and with distortion of an amp set to the "edge of breakup." Your setup is great!
That's definitely a cool guitar. I've been looking at some Charvels lately and was happy to see Fender has entered the fray into that sort of guitar. I had an American Deluxe Tele a while back and it was very well made, super stable and a pleasure to play. I ended up selling it because I thought I wasn't going to continue to play guitar. (I had a nasty shoulder injury that hampered my career as a violist) I thought playing the guitar in addition to what I make my living doing wasn't going to be compatible. Anyway, the shoulder is good and I'm now back in the market for a versatile and well-made instrument. Maybe this will be it
When I first saw this guitar I knew I had to have it for my collection... and counting. I have waited almost a year. But she is coming home next week. This guitar is a Home-Run for Fender.
My Fender Telecaster has a 24-fret guitar neck: ESP KH2. The micro tuning of the Floyd Rose is done by the Tremolo mechanism of the Head Less guitar. Floyd Rose has a Head Less Tremolo mechanism bolted to the back to Floyd Tremolo mechanism metal plate. The guitar never goes out of tune!
A very nice guitar... my telly deluxe pro 2 is great too... but that one sure is pretty. As for the trem, I'd just get a strat if I wanted one of those. Very good demo playing also. One suggestion: when you are editing the demo later, add some captions to say what guitar pickup settings you have set as you change them while playing. Kind of hard to see what you are doing there.
Cooper always really enjoy your rock and country on technical playing skillsets when playing whatever you have. Would love to hear you do a demo some time on a 100W Marshall 59HW Plexi cranked up a good bit. This demo is just doped out rock n roll awesome tones with that baby fender combo.🎸🧨👻
Such a cool guitar. I kinda wish they went with a more traditional tele deluxe design with 4 knobs, so I can use the selection as a kill switch, and the larger headstock. Other color combos would be nice too. But who am I kidding I can't afford this anyway lol. A man can dream!
Hey hello, nice review, I watched a lot. For a one guitar and good, would say this guitar is perfect ? Or is it still better to go for a LesPaul standard and a pro2 telecaster? I really ponder to buy a high end guitar. Thank you
Personally I prefer the standard tele pickup formation. I've played a deluxe and I own a single coil tele. The humbuckers simply sound flat and muted in comparison to the wild and uncaged sound of single coils 🤷♂️. That's my opinion
Welp, this answers the question of whether a locking Floyd system would fuck up the tonality and playability that make the Tele a cult classic. It even does a jazz flutter clean and easy without it looking like your trying to shift gears on a Semi.
As a guy that bought the HM strat in the eighties, with a stock floyd licensef kahler, and a GREAT guitar,.... I would warn everyone against buying anything fender with a floyd. Main reason is resale value, my guitar is worth shit compared to non floyd fenders from that same era.
it's so easy to convert this one back to singles if you want singles only... for the neck you will need a singles pick guard, WHAM! for the bridge you need a "Humbucking to Single Coil Conversion Ring", you can get them in a variety of positions, angled the way a strat is, reverse angled for a hendrix style slant, or parallel to bridge (straight) they all come in black, the conversion rings and pickguards.. fact is customwise you can get both the ring and or guard in any position you prefer or model of pup, p90/100 soap bar, whatever, charvel slant single or hummer.. i'd go black out no white ring on pick guard .. . black out for the win . . . me imma toss in the vintage black Evans humbucker in neck slot then the vintage charvel USA black angled humbucker in bridge slot... HALE YES! smoke machine.... 😁
SO suprised I actually ADORE the black body - maple neck - black headstock! I saw it and was like: I must have this!! But then I realised the only colour option I wanted from this line, is impossible to get with the normal SS configuration? WHY do they do that?
12/14/2021: Very cool with upgrades. But, Fender missed out on two upgrades that would interest me to buy it. They are I would like the the front body arm comfort cut like Stratocasters. I hate the sharp edge of any guitar digging into my arm. And, like rosewood or ebony fretboard woods. Sorry Fender - No sale here. PS: White or Red would be better than black - too many finger prints and smudges on black.
Good demo, but youtube still lacks a demo with this guitar doing some shredding, dive bombs, high pitched screams and all that metalhead stuff that a FR-equipped guitar begs for.
Like the binding and the aesthetic for the most part (not so sure about the black headstock) and I'm sure the neck is magnificent, but a Floyd Rose isn't for me on a Tele. I like the simplicity of a Tele and the bulletproof nature of a hard tail and, to be honest, I just can't see the point of having two humbuckers on a Tele. At the very least, I'd want a genuinely single coil bridge pickup.
Lol. You guys do some great videos. But this guitar is clearly a heavy gain guitar designed for hard and modern rock players, and you plug it into a Fender and start playing jazzy, little, pretty s.. t. 😆 I guess there isn't anyone there who's actually a rock player and a Mesa Mark V to plug it into.
Are we watching the same video? Lol Cooper starts rocking at 8:13 and demonstrates how this guitar handles heavy gain, or did you expect him to turn this video into a metal concert?
I love the clean sounds on this guitar. Could be next year's birthday present to myself.
Did you get it? ;-)

Man, that fretting hand falls into the super-human category. Simply outstanding!

I could listen to you play all day!
Awesome video Cooper 🙌
This guitar is when you want a Telecaster, but you hated Hee-Haw as a child. 🤣😂
that s funny!
That guitar would look even better with a dark Ebony fretboard.
F will never let that happen except in the custom shop
I agree 💯 %.
I’d be in for that right away!! Fender, are you listening? Ebony on this model, please. And, as always, Cooper stuns with skill and taste.
yep. exactly. thats why I am going to custom stain mine when it arrives :p
Hellyeah !!! ✨🤘✨
Well done, Coop. I watched this video at least a dozen times.
Absolutely beautiful and Cooper shines again

A P90 telecaster with tremolo ( No Floyd !) would be killer 👌
no

Now THAT is a beautiful guitar
Just ordered one of these! Stunning looks and sound.
I want one of these so bad! Perfect combo of Tele and EVH Wolfgang haha.
10 out of 10! 👍😁👏 And only 2,500 smackers. 👏
I have one on order. I can't wait!!!!
Did you end up getting your Ultra Luxe? If so, have you liked it?

Cooper Greenberg needs his own UA-cam Channel, that's it 💯👍🏼
im from Brasil this vibes clean remember me the MPB and this drive is like a hendrix soul
Great video as always, wish you all over there at Alamo the happiest of holidays and thanks for always providing informative content, cheers
Best sounding electric I've heard in awhile... But was it Fender or Cooper?!
it is a great guitar, but that's the thing.... Cooper can make any guitar sound great.
Just placed an order for mine......A years wait....!!!
I'd love to get one, it looks beautiful, and sounds amazing!
Always something I don't need...another guitar!!!
Nice playing, great insights, thank you!

Good lord cooper! Play that thing🤣

Cactus flowers, great song, great guitar!
Is that a Cooper riff that kicks off every video?
What song on clean tone, really cool
Question = Do you have to Cut the Pegs off the strings to string this world class beauty ? Do to floyed rose .
Its Nice, but I would probably go with the more budget friendly Fender FMT Custom instead, that one even got a carved top, if I wouls go Fender.
Just got one today😎
That’s more like it!
Hell yeah!
I would like with Rosewood Fretboard !!!!!

Wicked guitar, wicked playing......now how much is in my piggy bank...just as I thought...next year maybe 😢

Great sounds! Very "realistic"! 🤣
I've purchased a regular Ultra Luxe Telecaster and now I'm wondering if I bought the wrong one.
Never. Another. Floyd. Sounds good, looks good, though!
Telecaster with Floyd Rose 🥲
Do you guys know if this will be getting any new colors?
SO suprised I actually ADORE the black body - maple neck - black headstock! I saw it and was like: I must have this!! But then I realised the only colour option I wanted from this line, is impossible to get with the normal SS configuration? WHY do they do that?
that was impressive
Whats the name of the clean demo
Sweet!
Why two hums tho ? Whats the point without a tele bridge pup
SICK AF.
I think a darker fretboard would look cooler. An all-blacked out Tele has been on my wishlist for a while.

I like the black, but wish it has a dark neck!!!
LMAO. This is like doing an LS swap on a Model T 😆
I'm happy with my 2020 fender American ultra telecaster butterscotch blonde with evertune bridge. (Maple)
Isn't this just a charvel (which fender owns!) With the fender name slapped on it? Minus S.S. frets?
The Vintera Tele Deluxe sounds much better "clean" to my ears.
I suspect this one was pretty much spec'd out for a particular style of playing tho.
Hola, envían a Argentina?
How much?
it's not for me, but it is a nice guitar. would be nice if Fender offered some other colors, i only see black even on there website lol.
Ebony fretboard, please!
Good demo, but youtube still lacks a demo with this guitar doing some shredding, dive bombs, high pitched screams and all that metalhead stuff that a FR-equipped guitar begs for.
No just need to make it with a maple top in transluscent cobalt blue.

That is a cool looking tele… tele’s are normally ugly
It looks ugly because of the things inside the ash tray
fender bring back tele delux plus w tremelo
Sounds more like a strat than tele though
That guitar needs a forearm contour to make it perfect.
I wish the made the same guitar rosewood and u would buy it but not like this
Comes repleat with the full suite of Fender quality control issues! No thanks!
Less talking more playing guys
The same damn riffs . This guy got old

😂🤣☹️ Best comment yet. These guy are scared to start rocking on a demo video, right? Don’t let the long hair fool you. 🧔♀️

@@AliA-sb8jw, I’d prefer a metal concert.
@@AliA-sb8jw agree.
@@cmikesmith664 off you go :-)
Why would you demo this guitar through a shitty fender amp
ESA GUITARRA ESTA DESAFINADA mamita que molesto !!!
estoy seguro que en mexico tienen doctores que lavan oidos y mamitas que afinan guitarras ;-)
Does this do reverse whammy dives
