I worked with him on the marijuana job. No, it was not illegal; it was actually for a medicinal dispensary in Santa Barbara. I took care of the trim house alone for a few weeks in Santa Barbara while sometimes coworkers would come in during the day to work with me, mostly musicians. Anderson .Paak was one of them. The two of us worked in the house alone a few times, and had great conversations about art and life. I always knew he'd make it big, and I assured him he'd be a great father, which was his main focus at the time. Since I don't pay attention to pop culture, I didn't know of his success until 2020.
@@OurMusicIsOurs You're welcome. The funny thing is, I felt different about the danger of the job than Anderson. I felt more concerned about Feds doing a raid on the house and holding me at gunpoint than any group of criminals doing likewise. Eventually there was a raid on the business by the Feds, but it was on a farm outside of Santa Barbara about a year after Anderson and I left that business. My friend was there and said the raid was pointless, because all the weed grown on the farm was already gone. LOL.
What's your favorite Anderson .Paak song?
Make it Better with Smokey Robinson
@@zheahra Such a good one! I am curious to hear what it sounded like before Smokey put his magic touch on it.
