THIS is what I needed to hear out of the Sub 37. To my ears, the Sub 37 is such a tight machine in all aspects of it's sound: The oscillators are sooo stable. The filter is incredibly accurate. The envelopes are fast enough to snap your neck. It sounds great and clearly a Moog, but it definitely a more "modern" sounding synth in those respects. I really need to hear what it can do when it comes the warm and wooly side of being a Moog. This demo gets me there. Well done.
Moog should pay you for this. It's way better than the other sound demos. Mine is due in a few days, and this track has made me even more excited for it. I'd like to hear a Dawn of the Dead inspired theme from you. Maybe I'll record one if you don't!
Really good demo. Sub 37 is an extremely flexible synth, and one of my personal favorites. I have been looking to make this kind of sound with it tough. I have made a lot of futuristic, ambient, and experimental sounds with it, but I want ot learn to make some 80s mami vice with it as well.
Brother, I can't afford this board right now. So do you mind if I just keep playing this track over and over... and over and over --in my car while I'm driving? WOW! This brings me back to my boyhood in the 70's; you couldn't watch TV or a movie without hearing these sounds! This has sort of a "Dr. Who" / "In Search Of" quality about it that's very addictive.
Thanks @ All for Replys! @ Wavestrike: I work to 90% with the Ableton Sequencer. Programming, playing Sequences & resampling the Synth- Parts for the Arrangement ... Its not a Live Jam. Its an "Ableton Live Jam";-) Best!
Hello Paul Bordelon, i used a Sampler to play a monophonic Sub 37 Pad polyphonic. (I sampled the Waveform from Sub) The Sub 37 are only duophonic. Hope this helps you. Best, Chris!
is there any way you could show us how you made some of these patches? this is the exact reason i bought a sub 37 but im still a noob and would love to see how to at least start coming up with similar stuff!
Hello Scott, its not realy difficult to edit vintage Presets! I will upload some presets wich help you understand the vintage- Style- sounds. The concept is less is more and use delay for beautiful overlays. Best, Chris!
