In this piano tutorial I show you how to play "Best Thing I Never Had" by Beyonce Knowles. If you would like different piano lessons from the ones I have posted, leave a comment in the comment section or thumbs up an existing comment to let me know what songs you would like me to teach you. I can't promise that I'll be able to get to them but I will at least consider your recommendations.
I play mostly by ear and therefore don't have any sheet music to share with you for the songs I teach. Sorry about that. I don't think it would be legal for me to share those anyway even if I did have them. Not sure about that. (Is there a copyright lawyer out there who knows that answer to that question?)
In this tutorial, you might have noticed a piano style that alludes to Tupac's "Changes", which samples a Bruce Hornsby song. If you listen to the song long enough, you will also pick up on a few Vanessa Carlton tones as well. Whether or not this is intentional I don't know, but it might have something to do with the meaning Beyonce is going for in this number.

I love playing the piano, but when I watch this video I feel like wow there's A LOT that needs to be done in order for me to learn this before the end of the school year!! ( Even though it's almost the third week of school for me.. )
