Looking great man! Just doing my one shelf base diorama took around 4 weeks about of off and on work. And that was already after having pulled other scratch built parts from a dismantled diorama base, and having stuff I printed off almost a year ago on hand to add to it. Still not completely done with it, but its at the point now that to anyone besides me, it looks done. Just that I have a mental checklist of things I plan to add slowly over time to it, but now that the bulk of the work is done, I can relax and do other stuff too.
Love the scaffold and walk ways and all the little details of like the hvac… really cool! Is it gonna tie into the terror drome somehow? Love the train, gonna build tracks? Love the mega size! I been thinking bout building a shelf/diorama of an asteroid cave/ tie fighter hanger for my builds!
There will be tracks but probably won't tie into the Terror Drome. I would need a HUGE display space. Asteroid hanger sounds great. I will be attempting rock facing on the outside of the doors.
Ps. Your fans, vents were awesome I'm thinking, now why didn't I think of doing fans that way smh and can we get a Gi joe how to do Scratch build book by Christopher George huh lol
I was 14 when I made my fridge box Cobra base, it was nt my 1 rst either. ok, the details were a few notches lower, but I had the habit of keeping the plastic frames of the joe parts to make like you use wood. railings, ladders, ect, all in plastic. my experience made me realise that I needed ceilings to be much higher than the figures, about 3x, and some parts had cranes like yours or about. it really brings back memories to see this, you have a good eye for bases too. I had a big garage with hiss tanks, prison, com control, armoury, ect. I made many props like wood cases, soft drink dispensers, a pool table, a throne for CC. I could pop any door for explosion blasts, elevators, stairs. yeah, it was much fun. I never showed that to friends though, they knew I still bought joes, but were not sure I played with them, lol. I told them I was just collecting, being very serious about it. and... it led to that a few years later, but the bases years.. I could nt resist such adventure action with a full Cobra army and the whole joe team... it was a blast! good work bro!
I built cardboard vehicles starting around 9 and kept it up until early 20s. The later ones were more sci-fi static model type creations. I wish I still had them
@@christophergeorge5111 hein? wow, you were an early Master, my first takes of cardboard was garages for Hotwheels I think, but they were quite rudimentary... I was more of a drawer, doing comics, it helped for the details of my bases.
This is epic! Loving the updates. You'll have to add a dry dock for the Moray :) And not sure why but I love the detail in those HVAC units. Things like that are what sell the realism and functionality. Good stuff.
It's been a plan the whole time to not attach a ground but to make it interchangeable. I was thinking I may do a Submarine. Like the subpen in Indiana Jones. The idea for the heavy crane came from that. The Hvac and exhaust fans do add to the realism. I keep coming up with more stuff, so it is dragging out. The train is the biggest diversion. Thank you for the compliments.
i saw the thumbnail and thought 'oh this mf made something great! my younger self would have loved going to this man's house nice fukin work, sir yojoe!
Look who's in the ...... Z...o...n...e ! Feeling possessed by the toy making ghosts yet??? I 've been there. My son likes trains. I'll have to show him this one. Way cool man!!
😮😮😮 I love that Self-propelled Gun😮😮.
And love the video and don't forget the Hand Rails😂😂😂.
I would love to have that, room😮.
The amount of work and detail is nuts 😮🔥🔥someone give this man a contract.
Hello and oh wow look at, now that's what I'm talking about lol
To see this in person is to understand how big it is
I love the AC units on top of the observation room!! That is so creative!
Compared to your work on Star Trek, I appreciate your compliment. You are a master of the playset my friend

Amazing job man! Sgt. Slaughter has been looking for the secret Cobra base. He's going to put them all in a Ditty Bag. An Itty, Bitty, Ditty Bag.
That's funny. I could see him doing that
