I don't want to disappoint anyone, but this way is too old, now some professors receive 100 emails daily as social media spreads all the information regarding this topic. Even I have seen some professors posting on their profiles "If I don't know you, do not contact me" This means they only supervise their former students.
As I know the only way to find a supervisor is if you have someone already as a contact within that university, that will really help
