They’ve definitely had a theatric vibe about them when they make their videos especially during the course of Silver Scream. Otherwise they write good stuff and blend everything nicely. Wish I could see them on tour
100% one of the BEST live bands to see! First show I saw with them was when the performed the entirety of Every Trick In The Book, absolutely PHENOMENAL

My kids love them as well! My 9 yr old son loves horror movies even though he has never seen any of them. he just loves the costumes and stuff.

My kids both love listening to ink as well. I went awhile without listening to them and they asked for them cause they missed their music.
This lineup of Ice Nine Kills is phenomenal! All are great vocalists and musicians, Dan Sugarman who is on lead is an absolute beast 🤘
Wasn’t he a member of as blood runs black at some point? He definitely had those non-diatonic runs in the pre chorus
@@Witness089 im a bit late to this but yesss, sometimes when he does little sets on stream he'll play songs from bands he used to be in as well as INK songs and his own stuff :)
He's also the lead for motionless in white now as well

Totally missed the jump scare at the end haha awesome video and I think this video plays into the previous videos regarding the therapist etc ...awesome and just genius! In the last one he said..."this confession means nothing"....so it follows on...😊😁💪🔥🔥
Fun fact: the cop at the end is Bill Moseley, a horror legend. Mainly known for the Rob Zombie movies House Of 1000 Corpses, The Devils Rejects and 3 From Hell. Amazing to see INK getting noticed by these horror film legends. They've become friends with head of them now including the guy the voices Chucky, Brad Douriff. Can't wait to see who else they get 🙌

You guys should check out "Communion Of The Cursed" by them. It's based on the Exorcist and pro probably one of their heaviest songs.
Great reaction as always😁 I've been listening to INK quite a lot recently and I must say that I agree with you. Those cuts and bits in between the songs don't necessarily bother me when I'm watching the music videos, but if you're just trying to listen to the song without watching the video, it's kind of off-putting, it just throws you off. Also surprised Nath didn't get scared by the jumpscare at the end🤣

'Why would anyone want to watch that' Child's play is iconic af... Scared the shit outta me in the early 90s, now my favorite. 'You won't ever grow up, you won't make it passed 6' describes the darkest part of Child's play.. Taking that childhood away from the kid. Ink always delivers.
Absolutely iconic. Original. Scary. The first and second CP movies are almost flawless.
*I never listen to Ice Nine Kills before, but they got my attention now. Like they choke me and kicking on my face repeatedly, this song is a banger! The end of the song is so funny too! Loved it*

The beginning part of the solo at 5:45 sounds exactly like one of the parts in the Nightmare solo
The noises are tied in for the horror movies. They bring them in to let people remember the masterpiece this was based off of

i know a big thing with this band is the silver scream and horror stuff but they have such a wide range and style. check out every trick in the book and the remaster of safe is just a shadow if you still want the INK sound but dont need the visuals
I actually said the same thing y’all did about having clips in the actual songs. It’d be way better if they saved those for the music videos!

Nathan's screams are so cute!
It's really fun, probably one of the most frenetic songs they've done.The theatricality definitely seems to have been dialled up since the last couple of albums.
I can listen to The Silver Scream's songs with very little difficulty, but they have far fewer of the samples and extra sounds. How much replay value there'll be if all the songs on the upcoming album have this level of added stuff in the mix remains, but I can certainly see it feeling a little sonically crowded and a bit offputting.
I really appreciated that the band were still doing something somewhat interesting during the solo, all too often bands go into a bit of a dull sonic holding pattern while a guitarist does his thing.
edit - for Nath, the bit at the end does follow on from the previous video. That one finished with Spencer in a police interrogation room and they'd confiscated his video tapes. So the end of this one appears to be the police watching one of those tapes.
I love both videos for these new songs. Shaping up to be a really good album.
pssst don't forget the other Phinehas song, Eternally Apart. You told us in the In The Night video to keep bugging you guys about them hehe.

Might be worth checking out their albums Every Trick in The Book and ESPECIALLY The Predator Becomes the Prey, from everything you guys have said (which I do agree with) they'll probably suit your preferences better! Love the reaction as always, been waiting for this one!
I also agree with what they said, though Silver Scream (apart from IT is the End which is more 'theatrical' but still a great song) was just a good metal album all the way through and you didn't really have to know the film source / see the music video to appreciate the songs so I think that would suit too.
These first 2 songs are a lot of fun but without having seen the films I think they do lose some of their impact - now I know what the chanting / summoning part pre-breakdown is about, I think that's pretty cool what they did and it sounds pretty sick now - but I had to UA-cam it as having not seen Child's Play, it just sounded out of place on first listen.
@@jpballer100 Fair play mate, I guess the outlook of it depends on your knowledge of the film that is referenced! I absolutely love Assault & Batteries, I'd probably say it's equal to The Jig Is Up as my favourite release from The Silver Scream 1 & 2 so far (which is high praise, considering there's not a single INK song I dislike)

I don't know if you had Toys R Us (RIP) in Australia, but the chorus is a play on their jingle from the 80s and 90s. "I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid, they've got a million toys at Toys R Us that I can play with" changed to "You won't ever grow up, you won't make it past six, cuz this two foot tall demonic doll will make you his bitch."

Great reaction lads this song by ice nine kills is one of my favourites from the band's upcoming album the silver scream 2 welcome to horrorwood the music video was amazing i really enjoyed it also to let you guys know if you go to the band's website on the 9th of september & 9th october the band will release two more singles leading up to the album release on the 15th october so i am exciting for those singles to be released & the album aswell.😀 Keep the reactions coming guys well done.😀🤘
yes the sounds are in the song and i love it cause when im driving down the road everybodies heads turn. I get a high out of that. I would be more dissapointed if it wasnt on record.
I'm going through a bunch of your vids at the moment. If Nath doesn't like horror ...I would recommend reacting to THE ENTIRE Every Trick In the Book album by I.N.K. Each song is based on famous literature. And it goes hard as fuck. And, also melodic as fuck. Tess-Timony is beautiful. Communion Of the Cursed is heavy...Some of the literature is horror...🤣
You should checkout some Frank Ocean. Either Nights, Pyramids, Pink + White, Lost etc.

Anyways, Their last album all the music videos went with each other. Each told a story and were linked together all ending with “IT is the end” for the final reveal. They are just a killer band and I’m happy to see more people checking them out!

They are amping up the cheesy nature of the extra bits from the films and the theatrics for this album it seems and I for one absolutely love it, I don't even like horror films but INK are quickly becoming one of my favourite bands
It would be cool, to see and hear your guy’s thoughts on Silent Planet’s music.
Such as “ The New Eternity”, really the whole album of “ When The End Began” is amazing. There’s a lot of purpose behind each song
We love SP. We haven’t reacted because they haven’t released anything new that we haven’t heard.
This band is so technically diverse and intricate. Every listen you hear something else different or subtly. Reminds me of how Necrogoblikon produce albums (and if you've never heard of them, bloody treat yourself!). That ending, I'm wondering (and its genius if I'm right) if the album is detailing the chronicles of a serial killer who is drawing from serial killers in horror movies. Hence the throwover to other videos. If thats right it's a brilliant concept.
Spent the entire video clip wondering "is the lead singer on his knees". Cracking song, and even the ad before the song has creepy as fuck lyrics.

Janice Tri: Yes. Especially the lyrics, and some of the music they borrow. For example, so far as I've read or seen, no one has mentioned the hilarious Toys R Us song insert Within the "You'll never grow up" chorus. It's clever and horrifying at once because there are generations of adults who remember and have fond memories of the "I don't wanna grow up. I'm a Toys R Us kid" song and commercial.
But, for me, that's the genius of INK

Entertaining as always, but I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the little interjections throughout the song. I can sit and listen to The Silver Scream again and again, if there's a thing like the "na na nana na" in a song, it's to fit with the theme of the song, not just for the video, so they've never bothered me because I know they serve a purpose, kind of like ad libs to rap songs. I've always found it odd if someone complains about the theatrical elements or "I wish they would write some original songs rather than leaning into story's that are already exist." Like, that's the whole purpose behind this band, they tell well known stories through music and work hard to incorporate jingles, sound effects and referential puns throughout the song.. That's part of the magic. If anyone wants to complain about that, go listen to any one of the milion other cookie cutter metalcore bands that exist there today. INK is doing something unique and clever and I for one am loving it.
Its not even something thats new to the Silver Scream. They did stuff like that for Every Trick In the Book too. Its become a big part of their identity.
The last album had way less sounds thrown in there and was enjoyable. This next album is throwing me off hardcore...
meh, everything they've put out since ETITB sounds the same. From the chorus to the quirky chants and playful scream/yells. Starting to get cheesy and corny tbh. Just my two cents 🤷🏼♂️. ETITB was their peak.
