Like much of the music I love, this song was introduced to me by broadcaster Andy Kershaw. Thanks Andy.

What a great song. Only today my younger brother, (67---60), were talking about our child hood. We didn't have much, but we had stuff. Christmas presents were what we needed, football boots etc. Always had something to eat, bread & margarine, jam, treacle, or just dust sugar on, school meals were palatable. Dad had butter, so what, he worked hard for it! 4 boys, all playing football. How our parents managed is beyond me!
I'll keep saying it to my dying day. One day The Oldham Tinkers will be bigger than The Beatles!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gordon monaghan - yep!!!! So will I!!!!
:-))))
They'll have to get their act together a trifle more than somewhat!!!
reminds me of my grandad.
Wonderful
I would like them people in the pictures to see Oldham now
So would I. We lost everything they blossomed for.
It would scar them forever
