Honestly thank you for covering the real side of being an architecture student, especially having the deadline pressure due to whatsoever reasons. But the fact that you managed to complete and make realistic content while managing your work-life, that's some next-level inspiration of not giving up, and the level of optimism and dedication you showed throughout definitely did give me a lot of encouragement to work for my thesis deadlines !! I wish you all the best and good luck hope you win the competition and get an opportunity to go to Alaska, you do deserve for your dedication
“Suddenly I had the desire to clean my room” literally gave me architecture school flashbacks. This is a great example of leveraging tools, using previous content, and how practice at portfolio graphic design pays off.
I graduated more than 6 years ago, and currently looking for new job, hence need a new portfolio, so i came here for inspiration. The best advice in the video - keep a neat layout that you will be able to update/upgrade later on. If I followed it years back, I wouldn’t struggle so much now lol
Most of your videos shows the realistic side to schooling and I love it. Sometimes it can scare those off it seems but I genuinely love watching the reality. I love watching you pull all nighters and working so long on projects and putting all your effort into. I know your stressed but it makes for great content, I am excited and truly can only hope I can be as stressed one day with all the work. It’s scary at times but I know I am excited even more so after watching your channel.
Welcome to the dark side then! Hahah happy to hear these videos help you! Yes I do try my best to not sugarcoat anything(: lmk if I can make any content that would be helpful for you navigating architecture
I start my actual classes for architecture in fall, doing gen ed this summer, so I have enjoyed seeing your day in the lifes a lot but can only imagine how annoying they are too film. I like seeing the raw aspect of it, how you’ve made videos on the negative aspects, I like how you keep it real and show what it’s really like instead of being sunshine and rainbows like most people. Just keep showing real stuff is what I enjoy the most in terms on schooling and the entry level jobs, just keep doing you, doing great.
I also was preparing my portfolio for 4 universities in the US. I messed up cause they have different guidelines and i gotta had to fulfil in a very limited time. Wish me luck guys, i really hope i could passed and get into the uni i want to go 😭🙏🏻 and best wishes for all of you guys here too!
@@dilan_2074 i applied in 5 uni in US; UMass, UFlorida, ASU, UOklahoma and UIUC. I think earlier as you can is better and don’t forget to check the uni guidelines and requirements
Come back here in this comment section again after 2 months and I would like to say many thanks to this video that I can finally admitted in 5 US uni, and I’m going to study my graduate school in Fall 2022. Thank you once again! And best of luck for all of us too!
I love to build and I want to be an architect and I will graduate this year. But the thing is I'm an ESOL student so I think it's hard to present the project. I should quit. What do you think?
i actually didn't have any subjects in school that related to architecture. I just liked drawing a lot outside of high school classes. I recommend taking math and some physics classes though!
when you print your portfolio, I recommend going to a small print shop. they'll be able to trouble shoot your file personally and properly export everything.
