@@LilijaTheLancer When you said "I didn't think this was a zombie game", that was the true 2001 experience. Back then, games came with a manual, starting with the story summary, character/ enemy summaries, then the controls and icons for game play. The Flood was never mentioned in the manual LOL

Halo. My favorite video game series ever. I’m such a huge halo fan. My childhood. Can’t wait to see u play all the halo games. Also the flood never made me scream when I was little. I wasn’t scared at all. The classic graphics bring so many memories when I played the first halo on the very first Xbox ❤❤❤
thanks for watching! i’m a really slow editor but eventually the entire master chief collection videos will be uploaded 😊 it’s really nice to share my reactions with people who have that childhood connection with it!
Great job getting through CE, the latter half of it is a bit brutal to get through. As someone who grew up with Halo franchise it was interesting to see how you two reacted to the story and the twists in the game (especially the introduction of the flood). Which game was your favourite in the MCC? Mine is 3 and Reach, so I'm looking forward to seeing those videos (when/if they are happening).
Reach definitely stood out to me, but I feel like CE will always take the cake simply because of the shock of it all. I really did love the dynamic between Arbiter and MC in the sequels though! I plan on doing videos similar to this one for the entire collection, it will just take some time since I have a full-time job and enjoy streaming over video editing 😅
i used google translate so i could read this, thank you so much for watching! i hope you and your friend are also having a lot of fun with your first playthrough!
it does! we played the entire Master Chief Collection last year so it will take me quite some time to edit them (i’m very slow) and i might throw in a few other videos so i don’t burn out. TLDR: yes, will edit all the games eventually 😂

It's nice to see the rest of the stream after rhe flood video. I'm a terrible backseat gamer as I have a tendency to go too far into specifics on how to handle things so I'm only going to give pointers that are essentially "just practice". 1) you were running out of ammo more than you should and it's because you seem to drop one of the most important tools in the Weapons sandbox. The classic "bullets for flesh, Plasma for shields" is still valid but there's a third tier that the game heavily relies on: Precision Weapons. These are weapons that are capable of headshots. Weapons like the Magnum and Sniper Rifle are in this category, and in the later games, they add more that are considered Normal weapons, like the Battle Rifle (BR) and Carbine in Halo 2. Players have generally fallen into a certain loadout in the series as it optimizes the chances of handling any section: 1) a weapon that can Headshot 2) a weapon that can kill certain targets quickly or can take down shields of Elites quickly. This combo generally looks like (Magnum, BR, Carbine) and (Plasma Pistol, Sniper, Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, etc). So. How this works is that all enemies have a weak spot, all but 2 enemies have it as their heads. So for Grunts (goffy little guys) and Jackals (the ones with shields on their arms and look like birds), popping them in the head does the trick. For Elites, the taller guys you normally see with full body shields, you will need to either deplete the shielding, or use a Sniper (the easier the difficulty the more likely it'll only take one shot) and shoot them in the head. For Hunters, the really big guys with the arm cannons, they have their weakspot on their backs. Either explosives or anything that does a ton of damage, shooting them in the back is the way to go. For the flood, if you look closely at their chest, they have these "flower" looking things point out. These are the little popcorn fucks, called Infection Forms. If you shoot the bigger guys in that spot, these guys are called Combat Forms BTW, and they SHOULD go down. However, they can reanimate if an Infection form reaches the body, though this happens in Halo 2 onwards. Thankfully, in Halo 2, they add new weapons that make this headshotting more avaliable, as the Covenant will carry these weapons often, allowing you to generally have a steady supply of ammo...generally speaking. So hopefully, knowing this will help with the ammo situation, which I admit will happen in Halo 1 as they only had the two, Magnum and Sniper. Other than that, here are the more quick tips. Jackals will flinch if you shoot their hand that is holding the gun or if you can hit the body of them through the little hole they have in the side of shield, hopefully setting up for a headshot. They also do not like to be in close quarters, so maybe get up close and smack them dead. Hunters will swing to your right, so move/dodge to your left to avoid their swings. You'll end up just doing a "ring around the rosie" around them and generally does work pretty good. Bullets work best at this close, so don't try to blow yourself up. Unfortunately, twice more in this series there are "warthog runs" like at the end of this game. You'll want to get used to driving. And that's all I can really give without spoiling too much or rambling. It was fun to watch and I can not wait for more.
It’s best to play Halo CE in classic graphics. Not only is it more atmospheric and easier to tell where enemies are, but the remaster textures sometimes don’t line up with the original games geometry, so you might blow your self up with a rocket or a grenade if your near a rock that doesn’t line up with the og geometry.
Other than that, your guys first play through was fun to watch. I became a Halo fan 2 years ago so this is rather nostalgic to watch. Also, it should be noted that Halo is a series whose combat loop can be compared to chess. In chess each piece has a different role to fill. The enemy chess team is all the different enemies in halo, and your pieces are all the weapons, grenades, vehicles, power ups, and friendly ai you encounter. Just thought I’d mention that. Hope you enjoy the trilogy as much as I and many others did.
