It's due to a plant that it contains called guarana this plant is highly caffeinated but the thing about it is although it contains more caffeine than coffee this plant releases caffeine significantly slower than coffee does which is why the effects of Celsius last so much longer than other caffeinated beverages it's a natural growing plant so although it contains more caffeine it's not harmful too you if consumed in moderation. Most fruits naturally produce caffeine but to much of anything is bad for you so just just make sure you regulate how much you consume of anything.

3. There are 4 or 5 types of B12 but the main ones being used in products are cyanocobalamin (found in cheap products) and methylcobalamin (tends to be found in the more natural and more expensive products). From what I remember there are 2 ways of making Cyanocobalamin and that’s the industrial way and using sewage. Causing heart palpitations or other things, and could kill you. My stomach could never handle energy drinks. But pineapple juice and exercise is a better natural alternative if you don’t get acid reflux. Moderation and listen to how your body feels.

I just received my 6 week follow up blood work and ALT SER PI QN has returned to normal! This is evidence it was the Celsius. I stopped drinking them as soon as I received my bloodwork in October and drank plenty of water the last 6 weeks. This is dangerous. I don’t know what ingredient causes it but the evidence is clear.
drink 5 mountan dew a day...pretty bad for you. I drink a celsius 3 of 4 times a week, one a day...right before a workout during which, i drink at least half a gallon of water , Going an 1.5 years and no problems
The other issue is the B12 as in as an inactive version as basically cyanide has busy scooped off of poop so people are basically sucking down poop when they're drinking the Celsius cuz the vitamin B12 is inactive version because it's cheap and it's basically scooped off the top of poop
Think most of these issues arise for the folks who chug 2 or 3 a day. I have them a couple times a week before working out and my labs are perfectly fine
I think these things are incredibly dangerous. Thank you for covering and I would like to hear more about the FDA doing something to regulate these sales.
Most of these energy drinks don't really have much of a negative effect on you. Most people drinking 1 a day will be fine.. Most people drinking 4+ a day could have some issues and I know and see alot of people who toss them back like they're tequila shots
My 23 year old son drank one each day after working out and eating healthy. He now gets severe heartburn. Stay off these drinks! I used to drink energy drinks when needed, not everyday and my acid reflux is horrible. I have stopped them.
Holy crap! I knew something was up ! Hey if you have depression and borderline bipolar DONT drink these . I have been out of my mind and I didn’t know why?! Well here it is ! I wake up hung over like I went out partying and doing drugs all night
7. The math doesn’t make sense. If you think of all the products that use this form of B12 on a global scale - drinks, vitamins, supplements & medicines. Google the amount that is produced each year it was like 70,000 something (yeah can't remember the measurement). The figure is high and it sounds like a lot but when you break it down it’s like the olive tree. There are not enough olive trees in the world to cater to the global demand of olive oil let alone all the other products using it out there so its being heavily supplemented and you have to really look for the products that are actually olive oil because the majority of them aren’t.
I drink one Celciusin the morning. It gives me a good boost of energy and all of the liver function tests I've had done over the past few years have shown normal liver function.
People be drinking 3-4+ per day every single day. Not surprising some get problems from it when it is already concentrated with an extract from green tea. It’s like drinking many gallons worth of the all the different chemical compounds in tea.
8. Then there’s the argument that the cyanide isn’t an issue. It’s minimal so it won’t have any damaging effects on people. There’s multiple studies out there that state that over a period of 24 hours only a partial amount of the cyanide turns in to B12 methylcobalamin which is what your body needs. The rest just sits there. If you’re only drinking the odd can it's not a problem I guess. But like this guy, he drank multiple cans a day, every day. People knock this drink (and others like it) back like water. That Cyanide is building up in their system. That is not good.
Celsius is my favorite and I haven’t had any health issues at all. I sometimes drink two a day and it’s never caused me health issues or end up in the hospital
4. I keep reading that Cyanocobalamin is being used because it is quick and cheap. Multiple studies run through the process and it is not quick and cheap. There is a lot of steps that go into the process. Like 100 steps I think. It takes a while to make and the product isn’t a lot in comparison plus all the negative chemicals etc. that are bi products are expensive to deal with. There are a lot of studies looking into how to make a cheaper more viable process on this.
“Found in many energy drinks” but we’re going to call out this one specifically and put it in a separate category for some reason.. also we’re going to create a red herring and double down by mentioning the caffeine content with respect to it’s competitors to imply that 200mg is also unsafe.
There's a problem in everything, I believe going around it is how are you abusing it. I see lots of ppl commenting on how they use it whice is for me the best way if you really need the energy drink. Drink one a day and lots of water after during the whole day, you get your energy plus way less damage. This ppl that been hospitalized they didn't way there story, meaning, how much they drink a can in a day and if they have any health issues. I have about 3 years ill say drinking it and to be honest for me is way better then a RedBull or any other energy drink and it doesn't make me feel something weird in my body like other energy drink do, I do drink lots of water during the day tho so I think that makes lots of difference.
9. The argument about sewage and cyanide isn’t the only issue you have to look out for with drinks like this. So many of the ingredients being used we shouldn’t be consuming on this level. There are so many scientific studies and law suits that highlight many medical conditions that are a result of these drinks with your kidney, heart, intestines the list is insane. People have died from drinking too many of these drinks. A lot of the information is on the internet. Anyways like I said go read up on this. At the end of the day it's your body, you do what you want with it but so many products are having dodgy ingredients put in because they are cheaper. Doesn't make it right.
6. I keep reading it's cheap...In relation to it being cheap I found a study that states that the cost is so volatile that it costs anything from £3k - £20k for a 1kg. That’s 2 pints. 3k!!!!! for 2 pints!!! How is that cheap?!?!
5. The majority of B12 is not actually made in the US. China has the monopoly on this. Quick google now says they make 90% of the market. Haven’t checked how the FDA regulate this or how they are ensuring China makes this the correct way but given the political climate at the minute and how it's looking in the future, I wouldn't have much faith that they are actually able to...
Celsius is supposed to be the healthier alternative compared to other brands so thus is disturbing. Also also use things in moderation. We ever I drink one I usually sip on the one can throught the day.

If you have too much for too long it can be bad for you. What a surprise. I dont drink more than 1 or 2 a week and only on weeks with very very long work days
Of course, why not Target one of the biggest energy drink companies in the market. NO! it's not bad for you....YES it is bad if you abuse anything. Now all of a sudden green tea extract is bad come on people don't fall for this. Are they basically stating that Red Bull is healthier than Celsius😂 I'm going to continue to drink one a day
I swear people are dumb. The can clearly states drink no more than two cans a day. If you do drink more than 2 cans a day every day and end up in the hospital, you're an idiot. You did this to yourself. I love the stuff but keep it to a can every so often. I also an avid tea drinker. I know if I am having a huge iced tea, I am not going to consume to cans of Celsius that day.
"Where is cyanide found in food?" "In certain plant foods, including almonds, millet sprouts, lima beans, soy, spinach, bamboo shoots, and cassava roots (which are a major source of food in tropical countries), cyanides occur naturally as part of sugars or other naturally-occurring compounds." OH SCARY, I guess we have to live on rocks.

I had one the other day and thought I was going to have a heart attack. It was scary as hell and was while I was at work
People be drinking 3-4+ per day every single day. Not surprising some get problems from it when it is already concentrated with an extract from green tea. It’s like drinking many gallons worth of the all the different chemical compounds in tea.
I drank this so many times with no side effects that I know of. Won’t be buying it anymore. Thanks for the info. It does taste good. 😂
In moderation it's fine though
1 every other day is completely fine , if you’re drinking 2 everyday then yes it’s an issue
Not any more dangerous than all the other energy drinks.
If you develop cystic acne after drinking this drink…stop. It’s the super high B vitamins.
To help any idiot out there if it’s banned in other countries, but legal in America….it IS bad for you. You’re welcome live strong.
What are you talking about? I don't see anything about banning Celsius drinks in other countries
@@Miasaint10 😂😂 you’re a slow one aren’t you. Well there u go it’s okay to drink. In moderation of course.
@@eddiecoker4808 Ahh. I see your elevator doesn't go to the top floor. Flip those burgers kid 😂😂
What's next? They'll say green tea isn't good for you? But coffee is.
But how much green tea is actually in it?
I have one almost everyday for pre workout and never felt sick or nothing but I also drink a gallon of water everyday and take creatine
Caffeine totals are wrong in this article
Celsius seems to work better than other energy drinks for me. Don’t drink them every day. I mean I would if my wife would let me buy them that many 😂
Part of it is that the food that we eat doesn't have any nutritional values, therefore no energy
How about the cyanocobalamin.. notice how they leave that out and how they get it
I do drink Celsius but I do it in Moderation. I don’t drink it everyday. I typically drink it twice a week
How is that cheap?!?!
celsius makes you go pee like a mad man.
I only had it once cause it was the most wired I ever felt in my life. I drank one at around 7pm and couldn’t go to sleep till like 5am
I need to slow down I have like 5 a day
That’s too much. The most I’d drink is two a day
I only drink one so often
@@Yanerd. I’ve calmed down on those I’m on like 1 every other day now kinda started getting tired of them lol
Celsius is supposed to be the healthier alternative compared to other brands so thus is disturbing. Also also use things in moderation. We ever I drink one I usually sip on the one can throught the day.
It's got too much B12 and b6 that probably harms your liver as well
Only energy drink that works for me . I love them
People drinking these are the same ones crying about how cocacola is “unhealthy”.
A monster has 200mg. I only ever drink 2 different ones and they both have 200mg.
Ultra strawberry dreams and mean bean.
Bring back the original coca cola
Cocaine baby!!!
Sent my child to the ER caffeine OD 200mg. Can... I do not allow high sugar or energy drinks. Somehow he got a hold of them at a friend's. Came home freaking out tremoring severe panic attack heart racing.
Children aren't supposed to drink energy drinks lol
How much did the minor child weigh.. to consume 200 mg. Of caffeine? Probably a 50 lb. Child should be limited in what they drink.
200 mg caffeine OD? What your two year slam a Celsius
Hahahaha what a soft kid
So which energy drink company funded this propaganda campaign? Monster? Rockstar?
These algorithms are good. I'm literally drinking a Celsius as this popped up in my feed.
Let the patients in the hospital speak on it
So 1 Celcius is bad?
100% agree definitely will give you heart problems
If you have too much for too long it can be bad for you. What a surprise. I dont drink more than 1 or 2 a week and only on weeks with very very long work days
RED BULL approves this report 😂
i drink 2 a day but work out daily and only drink water and have been fine
Thank you for this comment it was reassuring
Any concern the caused of obesity in America? Where is the accountability?
I thought the problem was the B12 supplement they used has a cyanide molecule attached
I came to say this. that was what all the social media videos claimed was bad about them. not the green tea extract. 🤷♀️
Exactly! I still drink one occasionally but there's also Maltodextrin in most of sugar free energy drinks, which can be bad for diabetics!!
"Where is cyanide found in food?"
"In certain plant foods, including almonds, millet sprouts, lima beans, soy, spinach, bamboo shoots, and cassava roots (which are a major source of food in tropical countries), cyanides occur naturally as part of sugars or other naturally-occurring compounds."
OH SCARY, I guess we have to live on rocks.
If you drink an energy drink, you are not meant to chug one, nor do one everyday nor drink one everyday. Start taking your asses to sleep instead of trying to be a superhero.
Who else here is watching this while drinking a Celsius?
Yes it's true, Celsius does have something in it that makes you feel like s... in the end. I've had the all, Redbull is the best.
young people drinking tons of these a day, then blaming the drink.
Why doesn't the FDA ban this drink????!!!!!!!!
