I suspect the second coconut may have had more milk in it, with that, the hydrostatic shock was much more violent. That is what I takeaway from the slo mo videos. Thanks for all the great videos. Dave & The Girls
The segmented almost reminds me of 22 mag TNT rounds - those things just explode on impact. I can never find velocitor in stock where I live but most stores do have Aguila Interceptor so that's usually what I get for 22lr they are awesome.
Yeah that velocitor coconut looked like it had more liquid in it too. It's hard to tell with coconuts when you buy them. I wonder what that segmented slug would do at velocitor speeds
Cool test. Just shooting stuff is good. I still have questions. The coconut test may not have been the best in this case. The coconuts may have been slightly different. Just a thought.
I guess I'm an idiot but I don't see how someone would consider a 22lr rd to not have a lot of stopping power. They are not 223s but they should be able to take out even some medium sized game.
Long time no see. It looked like you need to make friends with the bullpup again, you tried to charge it where the Ruger charger charging handle would be.
I’ve never got into the segment splitting rds. Never bought one box n my over 40 yrs of hunting. If the Stinger don’t do the trick then go to the 22 mag. But, The Stanger always did the trick a lot of times it does to much damage u gotta put a head shot on critters for table fare r u got prefabricated hamburger.☹️ I always had a harder time finding Velocitors for some reason, stores didn’t carry them but, Stingers were most of the time available. Buy a few boxes and u were set for a couple seasons and a little plinking. make sure the rifle stayed on.🎯
After watching your videos,i am torned on what to carry in my Tx 22,,the 40 grn Segmented or the Velocitor for all arond Carry, what would you do,Keep up the Videos! Thanks John!
@@kingjames9572 Thanks for watching! It's probably not the most powerful, but it's real close. Aguila makes a round called the Supermaximum that's a contender. Their interceptor is a rival as well.
Banana ballistics has a video with nearly every 22lr round you could check out. I think he chose the inceptor as the most powerful but the velocitors actually were better in some cases.
TOFD G. Good video. Interesting comparison. Looks like those are both good rounds and will likely do the job. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Thanks for watching!
"We are just gonna shoot stuff"... The best kind of videos. 👍👍
Thanks for watching! My favorite kind to make too.

Thanks for watching! Could have been. They were both pretty juicy.

Thanks for watching! I'm a big fan of the intercept.
I hope you're having fun with this. Good looking shades.
Thanks for watching! 😎
I would've loved to see what the same two rounds could do out of a 4" pistol at 20 feet or less. But both did a great job. Kudos.
Thanks for watching! Interesting idea, I'll give it a shot.
Segmenting does pen less
Never heard of the segmented. Very cool. Have to get some
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! There is a segmented stinger round out there. 1640 FPs with a segmented bullet gets pretty nasty.
Nice video! Thanks!! What about a review with CCI Stinger vs Magtech 22LG 33gr Hyper?
Thanks for watching! I still haven't seen any of the Magtechs. I'll keep an eye out.
Fantastic video for ammo evaluation. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
I love it. Feel good stuff
Thanks for watching!
I wish you would have looked inside the coconut that you shot with the segmented.
@@chlfje Thanks for watching! You're right, that would have been interesting.

Thanks for watching! They both felt about the same. Could have beena difference though.
@@TheOldFatDadGoober I guess you did what you could do.
wish you had included the Stinger in this test.
Thanks for watching! It's a good round, I was just trying to keep this simple.
that segmented is quite the round
Thanks for watching! I like it!
Those segmented are my #1 groundhog ammo.
Thanks for watching!
Need to get a 20" factory Ruger barrel. Velocitor is the meteor ammo. Even though the Segmented didnt go all through it still made a crater.
Thanks for watching!
Looks like the segmented would be better for pelts

Thanks for watching! I certainly wouldn't want to be on the receiving end.
Fun video 👍
Thanks for watching!
I'd love a interceptor/velocitor power segmented 40gr round.
Thanks for watching! There is a stinger variant.
If an assailant took either one of these in the stomach?
Thanks for watching! It would suck, a lot.
Miss yer Charger. In steel Segmented rds tore up but in the clay Velocitor makes a creator.
Thanks for watching! I miss the charger too.
Hey good science stuff 😁
What is that music in the background?
Cool 😎
Thanks for watching! Music is from a free selection on UA-cam. I'll post the artist and song in a bit, got to look it up.
So you thought we wouldn’t notice you swapping out the velocitor for a 22/250. Sneaky sneaky.
Thanks for watching! Hah!
😂
The 1640 fps segmenting version is NASTY!
Thanks for watching! That stuff is wild. I wanted to see if it's little brother could keep up.
Long time no see. It looked like you need to make friends with the bullpup again, you tried to charge it where the Ruger charger charging handle would be.
Thanks for watching! Old habits...
Good video. Next time try the 1640 fps segmented. Maybe at a Ken doll in a dress
Thanks for watching! Interesting idea... 🤔

Nice to the point video. But the music, well that’s another story.
Thanks for watching! Music was something new I'm trying out.

Thanks for watching! I'm an old Velocitor fan. I think from a pistol it might be a bit better.
Look up beyond seclusion he test a Ruger lcp against cow tissue with the segmenting the segmenting is mean less pen but way more wound Chanel
Ill stick to my stinger velositor for chucks to possibly close range coyotes
Thanks for watching!
Awesome
Thanks for watching!
Good review. Confusing though. Try a chicken with each round and lets see. Thanks.
Thanks for watching! I never thought I would hear someone say that shooting chickens is the best science. I'm all for it.
Is the Velocitor the most powerful 22lr bullet??? Or give me another option to buy 👀📌

Eh 🤷♂️ Gotta go with the velocitor for anything thicker than a bunny lol
Thanks for watching! It's still one of the best 22 rounds.
Hey, Buckeye, thanks for recommending this channel!

So you're saying find stuff on sale to shoot at?
Thanks for watching! The grocery store has lots of stuff that's going bad that makes good targets.
I think the Segmented rounds would cause more channels to bleed out of.
Thanks for watching! My thinking as well.
Holy Jesus, I looked at those hoses and recognized my ex.

Dude, you aren't fat....anyway, I think God is telling me to buy a 22LR semi auto
oh, and Goober is my wife's nickname for me. Low carb for health and weight loss, btw

I have some cci segmented that has 1400 fps, try the different segmented versions.
Thanks for watching! I have shot those in the past. Crazy little rounds.
