During their long career, the legendary American underground duo named Flat Duo Jets has traveled thousands of miles and last May came to Sol de Sants Studio.
They played “Dark Night“, a classic blues song with the elegant touch that Dexter and Crash put on their tunes.
The psychobilly duo led by Dexter Romweber has always stayed away from the mainstream and we hope to enjoy their pure authenticity for many more years.

God bless the Flat Duo Jets.
Haven't seen FDJ but I saw The Dexter Romweber Duo at Fitzgerald's in Houston early 2010s. And still one of my favorite shows. The sheer raw maniacal performance was severely underrated, under attended, and underappreciated, but God damn I'll never forget it.
I own that same Silvertone... he makes it sound so much more prolific
@treetoptop It's a Silvertone 1448 (1 pickup model.) They don't cost a lot, you should be able to get one under $400 easily enough _with_ the amplifier case. Alternatively, you could get a 1449 model which has 2 pickups. Keep away from the reissues if you want the same sound, the reissues are solid body instead of hollow.
You need an old cheap amp that you can turn all the way up. That should get you there lol.
Dude I have a 1449 and case that my dad got in 1966 for Xmas and I love to hate it. I wouldn’t trade it for the world but I also wouldn’t wish it onto my worst enemy ether. It plays like crap never stays in tune and the neck is a different shape every other hour but it does that one thing so damn good. And don’t get me started on the in-case amp.😂
RIP Dex, you're an Old Soul.
The most underrated thing ever created. God bless the flat duo jets.
I remember seeing these guy @ Fitzgerald's in Houston 30+ years ago.
Had a funny conversation with one of them after the show; too bad I couldn't convey that effectively here, it was pretty entertaining 😄
RIP Dex, this one really hurts.
Dexter shone a light from a mountain top for others to follow , that album when I first heard it in 91 blew my mind, I was like what , when is this, now ..now fn way
Great new rendition by the original artists.
Beautiful soul.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sounds great! Crash is impressive. What does Crow do nowadays?
Fire! Thanks to Jack White I now know about this duet! tooth-crushing energy
Dexter still has it. Crash did good too.
🎼🎈
Dex looking good in grey.
Skyyyy
where's the Mosulliem?
Too cool
rock and roll starting at 0:20
What vocal mic is that that he's singing in to?
Hey!! It's cool isn't it! Is the same one than the Beach Boys use, is call electrovoice 664
Where is crow????
Last I heard, Crow was having some problems and stole money from the band and that's probably part of why they broke up; he went into rehab later. I hope Crow sees the light or already has.
Love it!
