i lived ino'side when the population was 30,000 . i went swimming at the harbor when they were building the marina. . i lived in the san luis rey valley when there was nothing there. mikes liqour and shakeys was there. thats it. i almost have a heart attack when i see all the high rises at the beach. it's jobs, yes but, the view is gone. you are like me. o'side is so different now
Unsheltered... Homeless my man. You'll see more than just a panhandler. Caught a few glimpses of public urination and shooting up from the coast to inland O'side. FYI Carlsbad drops their homeless off in O'side.
I lived out there for 5 years and miss it. All things considering it was a wonderful place to live but like most californians I was priced out and moved to Arizona.
My rent went up $1000.00 in 5 years. I hate it, it's too conservative. Unless you have a lot of money, it's no fun for the middle class. Chicken dinner at Mary's is $26.00. used to be $15.00. Lots of disrespectful Marines. Yuck.
HaHa!! I live in Ventura. A LONG time ago, I did a year of school in Boston. I remember a guy at AAA saying to me "Oh, you're from Southern California. How can you stand it out there? You got that surfer's weather out there. You know, the seasons never change." I said "Yeah...plus there's earthquakes. It's terrible." You're welcome.
They hate the homeless here, they say there is a homeless outreach. But you can never reach them by phone to find help for those unfortunate. Security with the grey van security people have harassed the homeless, I have witnessed. Not much compassion for those in need, just disgusting. They want to make this place like San Clemente, Heartless Republicans.

In the mid 1970's my dad had a boat in the marina. Last year I went by the marina and it was gentrefied
Big time gentrification! Especially since the 70’s
I lived there close to the coast in the 1990's for about 10 to 15 years. Love it. Least a new condo at a very good price back then.
Cool videos
Thanks Alfredo 👍🏼
I grew up in oside and its a completely different city now. Sad all the rich people came and pushed people off the coast into the valley.
That's a good thing less crime more tourists and less Latino gangbangers

Ive lived in Oceanside all my 50 years and I love it here❤❤❤I live near the beach, great weather.
Love your videos. As a happy long time Oceanside resident as in since 1970 it is always nice to hear positive things about your city. Thank You
Sweet! You've certainly seen it change for the better

I was stationed at Pendleton had an apartment at 306 So. Pacific in 75. Rent was 85 bucks a month.
Crazy! Times have certainly changed
@@lifeinsandiego I could sure tell you some wild stories from back in those days.

Unhoused...stop it
You don’t want to love anywhere over a $1million. Especially by costal areas. Insurance not backing your investments.
I love your videos but I don’t think it’s nice to put other people’s texts and phone numbers in your videos on UA-cam.
Thinking of escaping N.Y. for the winter months. Nov. To April. I've been to O.side in the past. For Thanksgiving.
O’Side seems to be getting better day by day. Might be a nice little escape for the winter months!
Oceanside is the best. ❤❤❤❤❤ please stay away 😂😂
