-almost perfect use of royal guard
-fast shooting with the shotgun (guard + shot)
-the beowulf jump skill that needs to be timed (not hard to master but still)
-the use of demon explosion in demon mode
-and also using the demon mode to run fast.
I know its on easy mode but damn, that was good.
I remember getting lost every time in most levels in my 1st playtrough , now i know why , i see so much backtracking , getting items and shit.

People should realize that speed running a game can be done on any difficulty they’re are different category’s for the different difficulties just because they are playing on the easiest difficulty doesn’t mean it’s a pointless run
Since he was doing an NG speedrun, maybe starting from complete scratch and unlocking easy mode should have been part of the run xD

Im not the creator but I personally used doppelganger because I had a file where I had base health and base dt gague so I used it to max any damage i could output.
I'm always amazed at how little understanding there is for speedrunning even now. There ARE DMD speedruns that are amazing to watch, but the strategies in those are completely different from the ones in the new game speedrun. and yeah, speedruns often make a game look silly. because they're entirely based on beating the game as fast as possible. Dont like this category? guess what? theres plenty more that fill what you're looking for.

honestly my favorite part about this is the final duel between Virgil and Dante where the fight just ends up being Dante kicking Virgil's head at rapid speeds

@@defiantlyrealjesustrue2678 in speed runs the player uses the fastest ways of finishing the game, glitches, difficulty etc. On easy mode enemies have lower health thats why he is ussing it to kill "faster". He is not a noob you can see it after him doing the royal realese. He needs to know the behavior Of every enemy and boss, needs to know all the levels. This dude is still getting S ranks at the end of a mission. I'm sure if he played any other difficulty he will still get S ranks. No need to insult the guy.

It's called "NG Speedrun" NG = New Game, not Dante must die difficulty. DMC fans can't read for shit apparently, because all i see is people complaining it not being hard enough. There are other speedruns for that, you're in the wrong place. Pizza time!

No comment for people crying about the easy mode. Can you finally understand it's a speedrun and it's not necessarily meant to be played on the highest difficulty? By speedruning you preferably make the game as easy as possible just to get WR or whatever you're aiming for.
Beacuse getting the WR on easy mode IS THE HARDEST PART. Thats what a World Record means lmao.

I’m more curious about how he used Gunslinger, Swordmaster, and Royal Guard at the same time? Using ARs cross slash, GS surf’n’shoot and rapid fire, and RG. This isn’t modding? I’m not a speed runner myself so idk it matters

It's not modding. That isn't Cross Slash, that is A&R's normal air attack. The surf is not a Gunslinger exclusive move, you can do it with any Style. The rapid fire is achieved with Guard cancelling.
He does cross slash on the ground, and I’m fairly certain the surf move is GS exclusive, and his E&I look like they are rapid firing.

its called demon explosion i think but i might be wrong. You do it buy holding down the devil trigger button till the devil gauge flashes red

It's DTE(Devil Trigger Explosion). You need to hold the Devil Trigger button, then let's say you already have all the 10 bubbles, if all of the bubbles is glowing, then release the DT button around enemies. You will do massive AOE damage. Very useful in harder difficulties...
Sleazera it’s called the distortion technique most commonly used with real impact of Beowulf it’s a frame glitch that allows massive damage very useful in a speed run

You have to complete a circle in that part, defeating all just gave you the blue shard for your life, that means you can make a big circle or as tiny as the one shown in this video.
