ATTN: NETWORK RV CARAVAN OWNERS Apologies for using this thread for my message, but I need to send out a clear and urgent message. I've had a Victory caravan made by Network RV for near on 12 months now. After 4 months, there was a fire with the electrics due to a bad connection and they had wires running everywhere. I had it repaired by a licensed auto-sparky who did a fantastic job and replaced the inline fuses too, as Network RV installed cheap ones. Network RV also installed a faulty sway controller and failed to test it prior to handover. I got this repaired at my 1st service. There's also issues with the electronic brakes, where the brakes periodically come on, but the rest of the time are off!! I had already gone through a set of pads on my new ute at 12k when I very rarely use the brakes themselves, as I use manual shift religiously. All the silicone from around the van began peeling off after a week or 2 and I could see into the van itself as the walls had began to bulge out!!! This further caused internal issues such as walls buckling, drawers getting stuck, cupboards bowing, walls bowing, windows vibrating and becoming loose, shower screen buckling etc The end resulted in my caravan requiring being striped to the chassis and everything being rebuilt as Network RV had used MDF as a cheap way out of constructing the van correctly to save on costs and build more profits. As a full-time wanderer myself, I was promised 2 weeks only for the repairs to next week be the 11th week since dropping the van off!!! No BS They are yet to even look at my brakes, although I've been told 2 weeks ago the van was ready to pick up!!! They've been sitting on my van and delaying the repairs so the warranty period expires, as they've already confirmed in writing to me, they are not extending my warranty under any circumstances Both the Dealer, Fair Dinkum Caravans and Network RV, have refused to assist with housing me for this amount of time, nor did they initially want to accept any liability prior to me just turning up on the Dealer's doorstep unannounced one morning as I was sick n tired of the games they were trying to play. My emails included the owner of the company and do you think he has had the decency to respond or apologise to me? I did contact NSW Fair Trading and ACCC who are powerless, as the mob have made attempts in repairing my caravan and there's not yet a Regulatory body to enforce any law upon them. My next move was to contact ANCAP. I'm writing this here for anyone who owns a Network RV caravan to CHECK your caravan BEFORE your warranty expires. Once expired, you're on your own and Network RV know this and are screwing their customers over, like me. As I understand, it's caravans built in the last 12-18 months. Please get the word out before it's too late.
Carol, I see you were using your pressie from Gay (the reusable cloth TP when you have no actual TP and must make a quick pee break out in the bush, or not in the bush). Glad to see it is useful, and reusable, from the fact it has been hung up to dry on the trailer (we call it a trailer here in B.C.--that is in Canada, eh?😂✝️🇨🇦
Ah Cheryl, Gay has given me the best pressie there, trust me it's highly unlikely it will ever be used for its actual purpose only for humour, but you never know. Thanks for the comment and it's nice to know where you are from cheers Carol
Hey Suzanne thank you for watching and commenting on our video, we love having a bit of a laugh and filming our journey. To answer your question no we cannot store grey water most places we travel we use just a bucket to catch our sink water and if we cannot leave our shower water on the ground we just don't shower, we always carry wipes for this reason. We carry a composting toilet if we need to use it. Cheers and again thanks for the watch Carol
hi girl's so glad you enjoy your new caravan me and my partner Rod get our new caravan in mid November 21 foot cannot wait look forward to you next video😊
Hey Geoff, exciting times ahead for you and not long left hope the hand over goes well and you are out and about on the road caravanning it in no time. Cheers Carol
Hey girls, good vid. I checked out Amy Francis and I'm hooked 😄 she is just easy to listen to. Thanks for sharing 👍 😁 potholder out to dry on front of van?🤔😆
Hey Sharon, if nothing else you have ever gotten from our videos Aimee Francis is the best she really is great. Thanks for the watch and comment 😀 cheers on Potholder 😂Carol
Hi Girls, maybe call the van Camilla. She ended up being a royal after many years of being the “other woman “ 😂😂. Thanks for the effort you put into explaining what works for you guys, and you must haves.
We don't have a van, as such, because our living space is mostly in the back of our Canter. We do have our little Poddie (Stockman Pod) camper trailer though so we have options with living space and supplies for longer trips. Priorities for us were light weight, low maintenance (we're high maintenance - we needed an offset) so that the trailer is ready to go if we decide we need more room than we have with just the truck. Flexibility was a must too (the trailer!) and Poddie is super modular. I think we researched our best fit for about a year before finally settling on the Stockman. # not sponsored, but little Poddie is a 10 out of 10 for us.
Love that you are high maintenance and needed an offset that is pure gold 🙂🙂🙂, love what you have chosen and that it suits you. We think camping etc should be suitable to each person and everyone has different needs. Cheers Carol
@@GayandCarol Hey, what can I say? Some gals are low maintenance, just not us 😂 Investing in our travel is a big decision, and purchasing a capable caravan or camper a big expense, so it just makes good sense to take your time and do your research. As you quite rightly pointed out - shelling out $200K on a van, only to get buyer's remorse six months later to the tune of $50K, would be a very unpleasant experience indeed. $50K pays for a lot of travel! Safe travels.
Currently have a campervan, but debating changing to a van, must have a bed we both can get out from the sides, getting to old to be climbing over each other or shimmering down the bed,, and a toilet with a door.. love your humour ladies,,
Hey Kim, fully understand where you are coming from with space around the bed, the camper trailer was a shimmer down the bed deal and not too bad, however the step at time to the floor felt like I was jumping off a cliff. The van has ample space for me to get around, however Gays side is a bit tighter, it works and we adjust but its one thing if we looked at another van I think we would factor in.Our toilet sort of has door if you zip the tent up Cheers for the watch and compliment on our humour.🙄
Hi girls my first trip away in my 24ft retro Millard jumped off the tow ball broke the chain rolled off the road and hit a tree 🌳 fortunately has been getting repaired and should have her back next week yahoo 😀
@@craigtomkinson2837 Hey Craig the tare on the van comes in at 1660, we think its a 80 litre tank. Our GTM is 1850. Car GVM is 3.5t again still learing stuff. Mmm we have a very basic lithium set up in the van newy I would like to upgrade it however Gay is not as keen and is thinking more a portable power system. Not sure yet we have learnt a bit about travel and power with the van, the car has such a good system we haven't decided what to do. Cheers for the response to our question. My two must haves would be my bride and my Charlie dog 👍👍previously Roxy dog 🥲🥲. As for the van itself single beds , purely because of different sleeping habits and I don’t know if you could imagine waking up next to my bride 😂😂. Separate shower and toilet, purely to keep the bride happy,I couldn’t care less either way. As for size and weight, I don’t think I should say anything on that subject because she may see this post, brave yes ,crazy not quiet. As for a name, what about Vanessa Vaniston 🤔. 👁️👁️😎😇🐕🦺❤️🙏🇦🇺
Hahaha 🤣 thanks for watching 🙏❤️ Lots of people do single beds it's more common that not common 😜 Yes if we were to get a shower and toilet they would be separate. We think new vans are trending that way now. Happy wife happy life 🎉
