WARR Rocketry | Cryosphere Aftermovie

With Project Cryosphere, we took on the enormous challenge of building the largest and most powerful rocket in our sixty-year history. Over 10 years, several generations of students researched, developed and worked on our EX-3 rocket. The result: a giant of a student rocket, with a length of almost 6m and more than a ton of thrust to reach a target altitude of 35km. Propelled by a hybrid rocket motor running on liquid oxygen and HTPB polymer, the EX-3 was designed to chase the world altitude record for cryogenic amateur rockets with supersonic speeds up to Mach 3.
After years of hard work, we successfully launched our EX-3 rocket in July 2023 at the FAR Launch Site in California, USA.
As this project was the focal point of WARR Rocketry for the last almost 10 years and so many people contributed to it, we decided to create a few souvenirs and make them available for everyone to purchase in order to support future developments in WARR Rocketry. By that, we both want to honor the project and give everyone the opportunity to hold a piece of the EX-3 (like literally) and the success story of Project Cryosphere in their hands. You will hear more details about that soon. So stay tuned on our social media ;D
We look back on the Cryosphere era with joy and pride and now close the chapter of hybrid rocket engine development with satisfaction. We thank every single person who supported this project with their dedication, time, experience and contribution. Without you this would not have been possible! Congratulations on your flight! To bad the flight didn't go as planned, but getting to the point where it can have these problems is a giant accomplishment! I still remember watching your live stream while studying. 😅
