NaturallyCorporate Thanks for the video, I am a twist out woman as well! I have a pretty with protecting my ends at night so I put my hair in big twist for bed and lubricate my ends and wear a satin lined cap. Do you have any other suggestions?
@123456711751 Hi there!! Thanks so much for connecting with me. It sounds like we kind of do the same thing. I’d suggest pulling your twists up and securing them. This way you won’t be sleeping on your ends. Have a wonderful night!!
Thanks so much for sharing. My hair goal this year is to do twistouts 90% of the time. I used heat a little too much last year, I’m leaning but I did finally get my twistouts down towards the end of the year🎉
Great video, Regina! My name is Regina also, I absolutely agree with your approach to protective styling. It's all about finding what works best for our unique hair type and routine. Your twist out method clearly shows the importance of minimal manipulation and using the right products. Thanks for the tips!
Love your twist out. I totally agree that you see more length retention when wearing twists. That's what I notice when I do my twist back to back. Great video.
Beautiful results, curls. I love twist outs but just can't seem to get rid of parts without disruption while trying to manipulate, which leads to friz.
Hi 👋🏾 Kay! Let’s see, what types of products do you use? Sounds like you might need a little hold on your hair. Do you use a gel? Thank you so much for watching, sharing and communicating! 👏🏾👏🏾
@ Hello, I’m predominantly a Miche and Natures little secret user. They do work for me with wash and goes or flat twists. The twist out are ok I until I try to hide the doggone parts.😀 Thanks for your response and input. 😊
2:51 I don’t retwist my hair. If I do a twist out I put it up like I do My washing goes the only way I would re-twist it is if I’m gonna wear it for two weeks other than that no. In doing my six year journey I don’t think I ever did the status quote of a protector style ever if I wear wigs one day, I don’t think I have done the braids box braids any of those for longer than three days I want to try them, though no, wig can’t handle it for longer than 8 hours 😂
Hi Regina. I have some thoughts. I have been wearing a protective style (faux locs, faux twist) for a little over a year. The reason is that I was so tired of doing my twist out and having the rain or humidity revert my hair. My hair would frizz and poof out. Now, when the weather is behaving (rarely) I am like you. I will do my twist out and not touch it again for two weeks. I do think that 2 factors come into play. Climate, and the type of hair. I live in Texas, and it is extremely hot and humid here. Also, my hair is extremely kinky, which is why I can maintain my twist outs when the weather cooperates. I took my protective style down last Saturday, and it has been raining quite a bit. Someone asked me today if I was wearing a fro. My hair has pooped out once again.
Hi 👋🏾 Jackie! Your points are valid - climate & hair type can make a difference for sure. Oh no 😟 how were you wearing it this wknd when it poofed up? 2 weeks in a twistout is fantastic! You have your routine in place, clearly. But like you said, climate.
Hi Stacye, it’s easy. I pull my hair up to the crown of my head, secure with a satin scrunchie and put my bonnet. It’s as simple as that. Thank you for watching! ☺️
Hi! For the twist out I’m wearing in the video I used Pantene Gold Series Leave On Detangling Milk and Texture ID Curl Enhancing Custard. Both of these products play well together.
Hi Charlotte! I love roller sets, too! I’ve showcased several on my channel. M I’ve used both and get good results. I really, really like The DOUX Crazy Sexy Curl Honey Setting Foam. Another one I like is Alikay Naturals Lemongrass Mousse. My perm rod sets -in my opinion- are another great protective style, especially when using the smaller rods. I maintain them the exact same way and get good longevity. 👏🏾👏🏾
Hi Rita! I don’t wrap when I’m wearing twist outs, however I pull my hair up to the top of my head and secure it with a scrunchie or satin band and put my bonnet on. Very simple.
Thanks for your video! I only wear twist outs as well! The only problem I have is protecting my ends at night! I have to put my hair in big twist at night and wear a slap cap. What do you do?

You are too funny! I can’t do wigs either. They make me itch. You maintain your wash n goes very well, so I think you’re doing just fine. 😁

Hi, what products do you use

I roller set my hair ()- what foam or setting lotion do you use to keep the style.. and are those as equally protective

Hi, thank you! ☺️
How do you wrap your hair at night?
Hi Rita! I don’t wrap when I’m wearing twist outs, however I pull my hair up to the top of my head and secure it with a scrunchie or satin band and put my bonnet on. Very simple.
My ends have to be retwisted in large twist to keep them healthy and lubricated! I wish that I could do something as simple as your routine!
New Sub!
