This video was literally heaven sent! Everything was so clear and well explained. 4 years after you uploaded this video and it worked wonders for me. Thank you so much!
this is one of the most helpful videos ive seen in a while i love doing these iot projects and are currently working on a long range 4g LTE controlled UAV this will help me so much i cant tell u how thankful i am
Hi! I also want to fly 4g long range. I have pi zero 2w. What do you use? Does your config already works? If you have flights, please sharw your experiences wirh me. Thank you.
@@istvansoos1055 Yes i use a 4g usb modem (a USB that plugs into my raspberry pi 4 which gives it 4g internet connection) and I have made a python script to control my Pi with. I setup my Pi as a Server and connect to it as a client (which means i can send data to and from over a network, there are youtube tutorials on how to set this up). Then, with the help of this video, i used remote.it to forward the connection to my Pi over the internet meaning i can control it anywhere in the world. I now have a fully working UAV with video feed, 10 hour battery and unlimited range. For video feed, I used a separate raspberry pi 4 which streams video to a webserver that i setup up on it (again, there are tutorials on how to do this). I highly recommend the raspberry Pi 4 for this project and it is important to have two separate Pi's (one for video and one for the controls, gps etc.) because i tried running both programs on a single Pi but it struggled to handle it and the video feed was very laggy so definately recommend two! Hope this helps!
Do you need to have connectd running on pi to be able to access it from remote network? Or can you shutdown/uninstall connectd after setup and still be able to access it remotely?
@SPARKLERS: We Are The MakersI I followed same steps as u hv shown But when I try to watch live stream with different network It's showing that page is not working. Please help me to fix it.
This won't work for me. I am looking for a way to connect to a Pi zero or (Zero 2w) with a pi cam or USB cam hooked up using Rpi Cam Web Interface or Motioneyeos. (I have multiples set up usinf both software) I want to be able to (and for other non technical users) to simply connect as easily as possible and just access the camera feed from my cell phone anywhere in the world or at least the USA. Any Ideas? PLEASE HELP!
Hi, thank you for your great information for the remote it application However, I would like to know about what's the minimum version of raspberry Pi is required for this application to work out? Appreciate in advance for your kind assistance.
Hay nice video. Can you make a video on using remote.it for creating a openvpn server on the pi without standard portforwarding. This video is really needed for many beginners like me. Thanks in advance.
Man, you are a genius. I want to fly long range plane via rg, today I got my pi zero 2. Your video made understand what is this remote service for. In the uavmatrix and with Parrot Disco 4g mod they use zerotier for this remote access service. What do you think, which provider gives the most reliable and fastest remote service for.my video and controll, telemetry purpose? I think you know more provider, I only know remote.it from this video and zerotier but I know there are many more. Thx!
This is great. I have motioneyeos with 3 cameras setup and Rpi Cam Control with varios cameras I access. Is there a good app that will allow me to access these cameras/apps without trying to hit little buttons with fat fingers on my phone?
It is great software for personal use and also personal cloud, but if you are planning on hosting a website publicly on your Pi it doesn't work! because the proxy will time-out after 15 minutes... I understand why they do it, to save resources, but it would be nice to have the option to buy proxies for this use case, or maybe if there are other alternatives (proxy servers for this). I can not use port forwarding because I don't have access to my router.
Thanks a lot for this video! I would like to know if there is any limit on the file size or bandwidth being used to transfer files to the remote pi? Is it not applicable because the connection is P2P and does not involve remote.it server for the file transfer?
Hi do you have a video tutorial where you access raspberry pi remotely from different network over internet but raspberry pi is showing continuous images ?
Hi Bro can you do a tutorial on node.js server accessing remotely from internet like this..but main problem is that in this rÉmot3.it site they are only providing the url or the link to access for only a limited time like ngrok....means when you off the connection they will provide you a random access link or url..I like a static one..Can you help me out..
Hi, that's a great video..! Would you have made a video on doing a NAS setup with pi and remoteit.. Pls share any info dat could help. M running a pi 4, that takes in Mobile data by USB n sends it to a router for distribution. I want to have my 1tb Hdd connect to the pi where in I can save media dumps from any location.
@@SPARKLERSWeAreTheMakers Thank you so much for reply. I passed the information given at 12:41 in my clients applications script like: my_socket.connect(('proxy50.rt3.io', 34579)). What do I have to use in server Applications script at my_socket.bind((..., ...))? I tried with the same and with local/public ip of my pc, however nothing worked. Do you have any advice for me?
