Oh, oh! I just remembered! A useful tip to keep Luma in place!
When Luma is sent out with Luma shot, sometimes it wanders about offstage when you don't want it to. If you use gravitational pull, Luma will stay in place regardless of position, though this doesn't work if Luma has already been called back.
Just wanted to say in case you didn't know... maybe it can be useful to you.
Thanks! for some reason I actually thought Luma would slowly drift down like Rosa, and I am surprised that I never noticed that before. This will definitely come in handy to hold Luma's position for some offstage edgeguarding set ups as it's faster than starbits (what I normally use)
Your use of luma recall to smash and luma recall to LL Bair(?) into turn around Fsmash was clean
He makes Rosa look top tier.

I was in a smash rut when i randomly picked a character that was usually looked over by everyone else, Rosalina & Luma. It just clicked when I played. I looked up some combos to see what shes got and here I am now.. Your R&L is such and inspiration! keep doing these videos man I love it
the dash cancel is so hard to do consistently, you must have repeated it at least a thousand times
Mike Ni for sureee, I used to just try and force it mid match until it started to become second nature
All you have to do is press a then immediately press grab it's much easier than you think

Fucking hell, your Luma placement is so precise and well executed. I can literally see how well you plan out your attacks in these matches, always seems like you're about 5 steps ahead of your opponent.

NickLeo Smash I mean Rosalina doesn’t the worst match up spread.. she really does have some free matchups. Especially big bodies or jsut any slow character (especially w/o projectiles) and what top tiers do you tnink she beats or Atleast go even with?

I have found that doing a forward full hop while shooting starbits and then inputting down air is a really good way of approaching. Have you tried this? I haven’t done extensive testing, but I was just wondering if maybe it was something to look into

Rosalina, Fox, and inkling are really the only characters that kill off the top blastzone a lot.
I’ve never thought about it, but damn near EVERYTHING is horizontal. In smash 4 everything was vertical.

when you do dac nair does the nair ever connect? I see it a bunch in these clips and it mainly just seems like lumas hitting and the nair isnt, is it still worth it to go for?
John Fahey in these clips I must’ve been using it from too far away, but it’s definitely still worth going for. If Rosa’s Nair connects it can = big damage or a kill confirm and even if it doesn’t connect you still have a frame advantage to up tilt, grab or jab. Just know the percentages that it works on certain fastfallers (see combo + kill confirm guide for a chart)
Can you please tell me which do you think it is the better control buttons to perform Luma dash attack if you are playing with the joysticks?
I would recommend mapping jump to a shoulder button, and use your right stick (c-stick) to input your dash attack. This way you can use them at almost the same time and can dash attack during your initial dash frames

How do you do so well against Palu?? Isn’t that a really hard matchup? It is for me at least
Neutral can be really hard but once you get in and stay close it gets a lot easier
It’s all about finding that one opening
@@Nick_Leo the problem for me is palutenas neutral b how do i counter that
@@Nick_Leo especilly at clos range the en lage of my down b gets punisht
@@beagrothus7916 yeah, palu has a big neutral advantage against us if they want to play campy. I almost always dash towards them, then when I see a neutral b or side b I jump over it (turn around jump so you have Bair to land with)
If you are close by you can try to get in with a LL bair or late nair, and if you’re a little too far away, just land with starbits to interrupt them and repeat.
Once you get close to Palu you gotta stay close to her so she can’t get set up again.

Quick question, does Luma always face the opponent when you shoot him away?
Ben Lopez when you input either a jab or down tilt Luma automatically targets close opponents!

Nope! While detethered, Luma actually turns around automatically to hit nearby opponents when using down tilt or jab.Although, if you turn around right before using the move, Luma will match Rosa

- TehAlpha I go to tournaments, but unfortunately not as often as I’d like to. There are a few really strong players in my region like ZekeTRP, so I often get 3rd-5th depending on how rusty I am.

this is going to sound silly but how is the wand attack done when spinning XD ???
By wand attack, do you mean Starbits (side B)? And if by spinning you mean luma’s rapid jab (while desynced), Starbits cancels anything that luma is doing automatically, so you can always interrupt whatever luma is doing with it!

@@diegoabasolo145 ah I see, that is a DAC Nair (dash attack canceled Nair)
It’s done by inputting a dash attack, then jumping immediately after (within 2 frames which is 1/30th of a second)
I show the inputs for it in a bunch of videos, but I’d recommend you go to part 3 of the general Rosalina guide for a visual example

They like to just think of her in smash 4 terms when she had some OP moves

5:33 why did luma teleport?
EnviableAce 48 when luma is being recalled, inputting a forward smash makes luma travel back super fast for a brief moment
This is cool but the char looks too gimmicky
I mean, Luma as a whole is kind of a “gimmick”, but the character is really complicated, covers a ton of options when used correctly, and imo is high tier in the right hands
Sorry i am the first one that disliked the video i just hate rosalina and luma i could'nt handele it (idk if i spelled handled right.)
