In "Jumping Rope for Seven Days: Results | Weight Loss Journey | losing 200 lbs | Weigh in Wednesday" I share my experience jumping rope every day for seven days, the results and the plus deltas. The plus deltas surprised me a little. But, I am so excited to share what happened, if I will keep jump rope while my size and if I would recommend jumping rope for weight loss while morbidly obese.. I'm glad you're outlining your failures to. Keep it real. I hate the over positive and toxic stories out there that all say "yeah, it's hard, but just keep at it." Sure, it's true, but showing and acknowledging HOW you fail or don't meet your expectations, and then, showing how you get back on track... THAT'S the REAL story. Don't skim over the difficulties and failures. People starting their journey find it relatable and encouraging, and it just might motivate one more person not to give up.

That is so important, for any exercise. Performing an exrcise incorrectly can hurt us, good form is important to keep going well. Some people rush in and that can put stress on certain areas of our bodies. It's better to start off slow and get it right than try and do as many as possible ASAP

So true I had to stop looking at the scale it wasn’t getting me anyway... funny story I started a 30 day challenge I went on a scale everyday n found my self gaining weight everyday it made me super depressed it was only after my boyfriend used the scale that he said something is wrong with it. I was 87 kgs n jumped to 95 kilos.. the day I got on it n it said 225 kilos I was like this thing has been messing my mind haven’t used it since only working on my inches

Girl I gotta give you round of applause, for attempting to jump rope, you were able to do it a lot longer than I could when I was 300lbs. It hurt my knee joints and especially my shins!
She’s going to ruin her joints. She needs to start out with low low impact. Walking, swimming and water aerobics. She’s going to blow out her knees by the time she hits 40. If her knees go, she’ll never lose weight.
Workouts are important for a healthy lifestyle or weight loss but ur diet is way more important if you change ur bad eating habits you’ll see a major change in just 2 months I’ve lost around 60 pounds in less then a year just by only drinking water nothing else, wheat bread instead of white, lean meats, lots and lots of fruits and vegetables, snack on healthy things instead of sweets ect...

This is someone you want to root for cause she is actually trying and hasn't made excuses. She has been actually honest and open and is really trying. She is consistent with her workouts and is holding herself accountable and is eating right. This is a person who wants it. Amber Lynn Reid Is someone who doesn't want it. She makes up excuses and does not stick with anything or show accountability. As someone who weighed 230 lbs at my heaviest I know the struggle and the discouragement but to lose weight you have to really want it. This woman wants it. Amber Lynn does not sadly despite what she says. I am rooting for you April!
I dont know this other channel or person you are bashing but it is ridiculous. Everyone (big or little) knows that losing weight is a goddamned CHALLENGE. It is HARD. So, if you dont want to watch someone's journey then STFU & move on to a new channel. But good grief, don't jump to another channel & start bashing tbe old one. Not everyone is mentally or physically in the same space, at least people are trying. I just found you randomly yesterday, and you've already become an inspiration. I am on a weight loss journey of my own to lose 300lbs! I am 100lbs down and going. The problem is I'm in a wheelchair fulltime (non weight related) but a huge part of how I got soo big. I'm not able to workout like you do, I do band and weight work and sedentary cardio, but I sure wish I could do true workouts. I love your uplifting personality and commitment. That really hit me, as a person who makes mistakes, but always tries to get back up anyway. 1lb is the recommended amount of weight for most people to lose per week, so you are right on track in my opinion. There is a brand called Gravity Defyers. They run about $150 but they are so worth the money. I have arthritis in my hips and I wouldn't be able to work out if it wasn't for them.

I wish I had found you a few years ago when I started on my hormonal weight loss journey. I took hormonal birth control and went from 112lb to 178lbs in three months. (I'm pretty short so it was more impactful than it seems) It's nice to know that other people have gone through the same thing and turn out as vibrant and loving as you are. You're doing a great job. Don't knock 1lb, it's a great amount to lose in a week and what a lot of weight loss coaches/nutritionists recommend. It's also only your scale weight which can be affected just by going to the bathroom. You're doing great!

I started realizing I needed to lose weight when I reached 200lbs as a 21 year old woman who is 5'3 active duty military (my lowest was a muscular 145) and i would be out of breath doing anything. I would like to recommend trying aqua aerobics as an option to your routine. On days when your body is sore it is a nice option to switch things up. I have found it beneficial for me.

I love your videos. Are you familiar with intermittent dieting? I started with 16/8, then 20/4 and now I'm down to OMAD=one meal a day. I lost about 10lb per month the first few months, the weightloss has slow down as I don't have alot to lose anymore, but maybe it can work for you too. I workout almost everyday as well. Intermittent dieting is not for everyone, I didn't think it was for me but my husband lost alot of weight doing it and after a month of quarantine and losing weight by eating well and exercising I thought maybe I should try it and I'm so grateful I did. Keep up the awesome work. 💪🤗❤
Yeeessssss!!! Fasting is a game changer!! It was a massive relief to finally find something that makes sense and is fairly easy once your body adapts to it.
I am a fan of intermittent fasting!! I may use it as a tool in the future!

Eating in a caloric deficit should be the main priory. You will have so much time to focus on becoming stronger/more fit when you have lost some weight and its less dangerous.
She will get there, and she is seeing a doctor. I feel like we should support her, she is doing great.

As long as you're prepared for this journey take 4 years, it's a good choice to be losing slowly. Sure you could NOT starve and loose more especially the first 100 pounds, but losing it slowly will probably help with potential loose skin at the end of your journey. You're doing great job!!!! That's so funny. My mom spells "outside" too so the dogs don't get excited if she says the word. They will start jumping and whimpering. She also spells out the word "park". Her last dog loved the park and understood what it meant.
I'm so happy to hear about you finding workouts you enjoy. I've noticed a lot of people tend to see the gym as a chore, but who wants to do another chore several days a week? It's so helpful to find something you genuinely enjoy that also happens to be exercise-- like jumping rope! You're doing great!
Loosing weight is 80% food 20% exercise. Keep going with the calorie counting, it needs to be accurate. You might need to weigh your servings. No hate just trying to give some real advice. Xo
I lost the first 57 pounds with no exercise at all. It's not necessary and for some people, like me, exercise increased my appetite to the point where I was at maintenance calories. I started exercising at 142 pounds, I'm 5 feet tall. It helped me with the last 35 and it's crucial for maintaining. But right now, I can't afford to get injuries so I walk a lot and lift. And walking is enough exercise at 105 that I can lose weight if I want. I got to 97 just walking.

I think it's super smart that you're losing weight slowly and not depriving or starving yourself, you'll be less likely to fall off the wagon. I am also on a weight loss journey and, like you, I am a shorty (4'11.5) I'd like to lose about 25 lbs.
It's not about looks, buuuttt, how hot is she going to look after losing 200lbs...My guess, very hot...Cause she's already cute as hell....

I am also on a weight loss journey (although only about 35lbs, that is still a good amount) and am new to this channel. But a good thing I keep in mind is that even though there were failings, it is good to remember than any weight loss (healthily) is great! No matter how small, any weight loss is another step towards your goal

Hi! I’m not an expert but when doing exercises like jump rope I would always recommend using supportive trainers to make sure you don’t injure your ankles from personal experience an ankle injury can stop you being able to exercise for weeks. Love your journey keep going and I believe in you ❤️

April I had never jumped rope before and taught myself over lockdown. I started in April (lol) and was so bad at it. I’ve kept going and practicing and have recently started to master side swipes and crossovers. It’s easily my favourite exercise now, and the fact that you can do it anywhere is another appeal to it. I recently subbed and can’t wait to see all your successes. You are a lovely person and an inspiration to all! Keep going 💪🏻 xx
I just binge-watched your journey so far! So much of what you say and how you feel resonate with me. I lost 25lbs before the virus hit and have gained it back. I also need to lose 200lbs, but I weigh about 40lbs more than you. I think I may get back in the saddle and wanted to say thanks for that bit of motivation I needed to remind myself of what I ultimately want. im on a weight gain goal , everyday I eat about 2 cups of rice each meal ,with meat ofcourse , I always snack between meals(bread/peanuts) and I gained weight ...watching this motivated me more so thank you

I found your channel in the past few days and binge watched all your journey videos. I am so impressed with your rope jumping skills! You are gorgeous inside and out and I am on this journey with you. I feel so lucky to have found you - especially being a veteran. Seeing your videos is reminding me of my time in the military and it was some of the best times of my life. I'm not sure if this is even possible, but could you jump rope on a trampoline? I totally get it but please don't feel that you failed. You didn't quit. You kept at it. You lost a pound. Tracking sucks.
