    I love this guy. Virgil my hero. because of you I play better in my technique and not because of traditional grip. I've been playing traditional since I had lessons back then and found it easier to play all the rudiments in traditional style.

    Ive never hear Virgil have so much trouble getting that double bass groove going.... not that it any small feat.

    • @SteliosSioulas
      @SteliosSioulas 4 роки тому +1

      seems like he had trouble with the left pedal, moving forward or something. he never had trouble before or after playing double stroke rolls @200bpm, seems casual for him..

      @@SteliosSioulas IS NOT HE GETTING OLD???

    • @SteliosSioulas
      @SteliosSioulas 3 роки тому

      @@larrytemp3063 that video is quite old, so no, he wasn't that old himself. Even now his technique, both on hands and feet is on spot.

    is there a weird backing track with another snare hitting? makes the whole thing sound messy. Maybe its a click track we shouldnt be hearing

    • @calvintrainer1212
      @calvintrainer1212 6 років тому

      Come on bro, he played 2 & and 4 & with snare with the & a bit softer like ghost note but louder. You can even see his hand hit twice and the rebound as written the way he wanted

    Virgil sounds strange in this. Looks like he hasn't warmed up or something.

    • @henriqueccruz
      @henriqueccruz 6 років тому

      You get my point Vinnie. He doesn't sound bad at all, but there's a struggle to his playing that's uncommon. He's clearly uncorfortable with something.

    An example of how too much bass drum mess it all. But, I love Virgil.

    Deux musiciens présents sur scène... et pourtant trois instrumentistes... : d'où sort cette guitare sinon d'une bande préenregistrée ? D'où ce sentiment d'incomplétude voire d'escroquerie... Et comme le bassiste joue également comme un guitariste sur ses cordes graves, on reste un peu dubitatif sur l'intérêt de cette prestation.

    Virgil is a good solid drummer but when it comes to heavy music i never go past Lars.... he just plays in the pocket like no other...he might not play all the fancy stuff but he is always in the pocket..

      In the pocket....Yeah, ....that's what every drummer does. But Lars isn't fit to tie the shoe laces of Virgil when it comes to drums.
