Yep, great video, the Sprite joke was on point! The flaps behind the tray are for angled miter or beveled edge cuts. You can miter your tiles or backsplash at a corner for example. It has a 22.5 degree and a 45 degree angle setting...
Thanks for the video. The written instructions were horrible, so I came to UA-cam to locate a helpful video. This was great. I didn't have the problem with the screws at all, so maybe it was a defect in yours. The Sprite joke was great. Thanks again. I'm ready to finish this tile project now.
Just want to thank you. The instructions that came with this were so bad, however your video was clear and straightforward and I put this thing together in five minutes.
Thanks for making this video. When I saw the instructions in the box (or lack thereof) I knew that my only hope was to find a tutorial. And yours certainly delivered!
Just bought this saw for a few of small projects around the house. Found your setup instructions helpful. However my saw had no issues, so I think you just received a defective unit. Also great advice regarding magnetizing screwdriver!! 🙏
The instruction manual was terrible, so thanks for doing this. Got it setup for the husband while he was scrapping away at the linoleum adhesive. That Sprite joke though😂
Thank you for your review unfortunately my boyfriend is in the hospital dying and left one wall of my bathroom undone so I'm left to try and figure it out on my own you are so helpful
This video help me set the tool up today. Kudos! The instructions are whack. How can a normal guy like myself do this with the instructions Ryobi provide. You can’t. Please fix these instructions Ryobi. This video was made a year ago and y’all still haven’t updated the instructions? Wow!
I just tried to use this saw to cut my porcelain .35 inch tile. It chipped and cracked the tile the first go around. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any suggestions?
Is your blade on crooked where it’s wobbling do you have enough water in the tray and when you put the tile through to the sawblade let the sod do the cutting do not push it through go very slow try that hope this helps
I knew it was water in the Sprite bottle, until you said it was actually sprite because it makes the cuts easier. I actually believed you lmao. 🤣 Then you hit me with the just kidding its just water in the bottle. 🤣 🤣
The riving knife / water guard has slots not holes so you only need to remove one screw and loosen the two others to slide it into place. Bummer that you had to get nasty with it . Good video. Cheers
Those plastic on the bottom of the tray are for cutting the edges on a bevel. Mine too had those screws way too tight. It almost stripped out with a phillips head screwdriver. I used a flat head and they popped and finally turned. I would recommend Ryobi just put those screw screws in the plastic bag. Problem solved
Purchased this saw for my shower tile job. You get what you pay for. Do yourself a favor and buy a good overhead blade wet saw. This saw did a decent job for me, but chipped the tiles pretty bad. Also with blade on the bottom, it throws water all over you. Also had to purchase another blade, the one that came with the saw was junk.
@@KooperSalmo I just flipped the bottom of the tray to do miter cuts. Have you done any miter cuts with this and have any tips? My subway tile looks like it has a 22.5 degree miter.
I ordered one with a stand and it arrived without the stand. Very frustrating. It’s not as professional and solid as my worker’s but hey, it’ll prevent him from lugging his up my stairs.
Had same problem with that screw stripping. Took little more time than usual but I popped it out and pushed it back in. Lucky the plastic didn't strip. Its design its flimsy and cheap. A nut would had been a better choice. That's just being too cheap with design.
The lock is exactly for keeping anyone from walking up and turning it on..If you ever did a job at your house with little kids you would know they come out of nowhere
The defect though, I would've just exchanged it, UNLESS all of them happen to come like that. I'm actually loving Ryobi, as I actually bought my first couple tools this year, but I wish Home Depot would inspect their products a little better. Returned merchandise usually gets put back on the floor, most of the time incomplete, or there are people that actually open boxes IN the store and decide to take parts and pieces out.

Not good camera angle, don't even show putting blade on.
Just kidding?
I got the same one. No problems. Works great. Dont give up! Ryobi is a great brand!!
Those flaps on the bottom of the tray are to prop it up to do edge miters
This video helped so much when we got to the stripped screw. We did just what you did and got the screw out faster thanks to you.
The instruction manual was terrible, so thanks for doing this. Got it setup for the husband while he was scrapping away at the linoleum adhesive. That Sprite joke though😂
I just set this up with help of the video. You are absolutely right, the manual was only helpful in part descriptions.
I didn’t even get a manual 😂😂😂😭😭

Dam sorry

The Sprite joke was funny I was like wtf lol... but you know what works good is a little dish soap makes the tile slide easier
I bought this today and no instructions on how to install the blade. Thank you so much for this video. I will start some cutting. God Bless
Real man dont need instructions
@@spike378 I don't totally agree, but real food for thought.
The 2 black pieces allow for side angle cuts
Bahaha, Totally thought you were serious about the Sprite...
For brass insert take a thin tip solder iron to reheat and secure. Be careful not damage the threads. Thanks
5:00 my screws came right out with the threaded insert, I had no idea it was two parts, this helps me out alot
Your are very helpful and very funny. Thank you for the tutorial.

Thank you very much. The instruction manual was a joke…I mean Worthless. Great job!
Do I need a water pump to go with it. They sell a separate pump
There is no water pump needed with this model
@@KooperSalmo thanks, do you recommend a better blade for it? The one that came with cuts kinda rough, leaves chips at the top edge.
How is the fence? Does it lock tight? Is it accurate?
Alan Fleming yes very tight and locked on very straight

thx for showing how to put the arbor on. :) thats what i came looking for :)
Nice 👍
“The guy at Home Depot told me” hahaha that when you know you 75 percent got bad advice.
So 4yrs later what happened since?

Those gold things are called nutserts and are a pain when they come loose.
Great video
Нихера не понял, но себе заказал такой)
Coul you tell me wha the other wench was for

You had me at crazy glue!
Is it normal for the blade to rub on the metal top
No
@@KooperSalmo how do you fix it
Thank you for the details
Thank you! Great video

You're welcome!

Bro why you removing all that stuff for. It slides right in.
You could Tilton you open those black lives on the bottom and put on the top of the song and then I could cut the edge of the tile

you got me straight on this one

4:28 the one screw on mine did the same thing. I end up stripping it and just left it alone. 🤦🏽♂️
The lock is exactly for keeping anyone from walking up and turning it on..If you ever did a job at your house with little kids you would know they come out of nowhere
My screw was stripped also. Did the same thing but with a small thin pri bar. Then I watched your video. The included directions are crap.

I was about to go get a bottle of sprite before I start lol
The same screw that was broke on yours is seized on mine.
Your not the first person to say that
@@KooperSalmo sad, first Ryobi I've had that came with issues. Although I've been using it now and it's a great saw.
The table is not flat, very hard to cut small tiles as the guard is in the way. If the guard is up, you get soaked.
The legs are for bevel cut
Neighbors, hey where did all these plastic bags come from
They are so you can cut on a 22.5 degree angle. So mitring
That's why I don't trust this brand I have bad experience with Roybi
😆😆😆😆
That is a piece of junk. The Rigid for 100 more is well worth it. 👌 Don't get this Ryobi piece of junk.
Must be super loud
anything Ryobi is...
