This is very popular in my country Suriname. We call it Teloh. We eat it with salt fish and pepper sauce. Or with a sweet and savoury sambal made from dried anjovis and pepper.
Definitely a favourite. We call this UBI. I cut into french fries shape, half boil them then marinade with tumeric powder, salt & coriander and fry them crisp. Another recipe - boil, once cooked drain the water, drizzle with honeynor sprinkle with sugar. Place it back on the stove over light heat till sugar caramalized. We also bake it...omg 😋

Thanks for this great recipe. Instead of frying I coated the boiled yucca with coconut oil and then air fry. It came out crispy as if it was deep fry. The dip was also delicious.
I love Cassava Fries and of course boiled or steamed, roasted Cassava.
I've made this before but I haven't tried this method, and I'm surely going to try and make it like this
I like more than french fries! And in my country? Paraguay? There are places that put some kind of shredded cheese and spring onions (green part only)! I loooove that!!!

Watching in Belfast Northern Ireland I wonder do they taste like potato I have seen them in shops but never thought they could be used as chips. They sound and loo, very nice in NI we serve with salt and vinegar.
