    Thank you. I'm tickled to have found this troubleshooting guide about the latest Rode product. A Mevo Start camera also pairs well with these Rode products. Your video is not only helpful, but is executed with a professional, unique touch. I wish I had seen this video several months back while I was ordering audio cables left and right via ups/fedex, etc.

    Hi Ashley, Thank you so much for such a detailed tutorial on the rode wireless which I just received. Taking your advise I ordered the Rode SC7 cord as well, so that was great. I was excited to try it ourt in my private yoga class I taught this morning, however it did not work. I now ordered the AUX input to USB cable. Once I receive it, I think it will work just fine, fingers crossed. You are awesome to people like me with very limited technology skills(lol). Learning more every day though with kind people like yourself, so thanks again!

    Thank you so much. My zoom yoga students said I really needed to change my audio equipment. You simplified everything and made my life so much easier. I stopped using music on zoom , as well, because of having to switch tabs and settings, now I can link my playlist to the speaker and the mic will pick up beautifully. I will go ahead and get the second mic for music.

I was recommended the Rode Go II by a colleague and found your instructional video, it was great to have that info about the additional cables to purchase. You're amazing Ashley. Watched your 2 videos on the Wireless Go II and I ordered the SC-7 off amazon right away. Wish I could triple like your videos. • @AshleyHagen
      @AshleyHagen  3 роки тому +2

      Plugging in the charging cable works to pull out the microphone back-up recording in the Rode Wireless Go II. And to charge it. And that's about it. I hope this video doesn't kill my algorithm because I'm not promoting it or driving traffic to it. It's literally so I can copy/paste when people have questions about the required cables and how to use it for yoga teacher on Zoom. The questions have been coming in hot! Thanks for your comments, Jaime!

      @@AshleyHagen actually I think it’s the reverse. You’re totally building authority on how to use the Rode Wireless Go, especially when it comes to teaching online yoga. Hi Ashley!
    Thank you so much for all of these videos! They are so helpful!! And so appreciated too. :)
    You mentioned raising the volume on the GO mic but wasn’t sure if that is done through the computer or somewhere on the transmitter.
    Is that what the DB is for?? I’ve noticed it would pick up more noise around me each time I pressed it.
    Again, thanks for everything. You’re awesome :)

    • @AshleyHagen
      @AshleyHagen  3 роки тому +2

      the little DB button is the volume. It's on the receiver. there are 3 volume settings. It's indicated on a little triangle on the screen of the device. Low picks up less sound. I use low when I'm talking direct to the camera. Medium picks up a little more. I leave it on medium when i teach yoga classes. High picks up a lot more sound. I rarely have it on the high setting, but it may be useful for certain circumstances.

      The Yeti mic does sounds better when you are up close to it. But not so much if it's far away from you (like teaching a yoga class and moving around.) Have you turned up the dB level on the device? If you are plugging it in using the USB-c charging cable, you can't adjust the volume, so you'll need the other set up with the SC7 cable that is sold separate.

    This is just the video I needed today Ashley. I was teaching an online class and my students said that when I brushed my rhode mic (attached to my shirt) it changed the volume. I wanted to see if I could adjust the sound from my mac, but as you discovered -- it wouldn't work. So when I searched -- how thrilled I was to find you explaining this all. I have ordered a couple of the things you suggested (sorry through CAD amazon so I couldn't use your links). Now I just have a quick question -- can I adjust the volume from my mac or do I do it from my rhode? Do you have a video showing how you adjust the volume? Thanks a million!

    • @AshleyHagen
      @AshleyHagen  Рік тому

      Thanks, Shannon! I should definitely make a video on audio adjusting. Yes, you can adjust the volume through the Zoom audio settings. It's not something I've shared before, or explore much, but I just troubleshooted with someone yesterday on this exact topic. They didn't realize you could change the volume on the Rode receiver, but you can also change it in the Zoom audio settings. I'm currently playing with my new 2022 macbook pro, so I'll be creating some update videos. I typically make a video whenever a see a question pop up more than once. ☺

      @@AshleyHagen Hi Ashley, thanks for your reply. After calling a local dealer of Røde here in the Netherlands, I found what the issue was. Could perhaps also be useful for you to know. Apparently with some AUX to USB cables you need to the SC7 cable as you mention in your video, and for others you need to use the original cable that came in the box (SC5 I believe), otherwise it won't work. That's why the microphone did pop up as USB Audio Device in both System Preferences and Zoom, but wasn't recording any sound.
