Nintendo was only bothered, and justly so, when the creators tried to put it on steam. Yuzu was never an issue to Nintendo, until they started making money by pirating brand new games and leaking Tears of the Kingdom, one of the best games ever made, costing a lot of money to Nintendo. All the best SNES emulators are still up, same with N64 and even Wii U. Do you really think Nintendo didn't know that Yuzu existed before they started making money off of it with patreon etc...? Are you really that dumb? It's not Nintendo's fault but it's the fault of the people who want to make money off of piracy. Ask yourself why Ryujinx is still up, still updated almost daily and Nintendo doesn't care.
I just started getting into Xenia. It reminds me of old emulators where you had no UI and had to ctrl + O every game in your folder. I tried NFS Most Wanted first and there was no sound and the light was so bright it made everything white except the car. Saints Row 2 and FEAR work great though. I was amazed because I didn't know my computer was capable of running 360 or PS3 games!
@@brkbtjunkie think so? Emulating PS3 has been significantly easier and simple for me compared to 360 emulation. Tons of compatible games as well. Looks like I might need to check out Xenia again though

I doubt it. If people that have the ability to mod the console, right software, create hardware etc haven't done so yet, they most likely won't. If you're a die hard modder who loved Xbox then there is a good chance you're already been messing with it for a few years. I don't think this will jump start a new interest to a degree that it will push emulation forward at a faster speed. Everyone knew that the storefront will close down at some point, this is inevitable for all consoles. If that wasn't a driving force then, its not going to be much one now that it is actually done. What this will do tho is make those that have been in the scene work harder, but I don't think we will see a large influx of new people popping into the scene due to it closing. EDIT: Not to mention there are so many different versions of the 360 from hardware to software that people can only focus on one specific type of build and firmware. Its too splintered. This is why even today when you see mod guides they tell you the exact model are best and the firmware to look for. Not all 360's can even be modded, softmod or hardware.
I am so thankful that Emulation exists. I 1000% support it , and i'm thankful that it's become more prevalent. If companies aren't going to give us an avenue to continue purchasing their products that WE WANT, then Emulation it is. Awesome Video, thank you RGT!
Well tbh this comment makes no sense. It costs money to keep these digital marketplaces up and for the past few years, the marketplace on the 360 hasn't had an active consumer base. They've given you an avenue to buy these games for almost 20 years lol, and with less and less people utilizing the 360 marketplace over the years, it shows less and less people want it. Of course Microsoft would pull the plug on it. Still sad, but that's just what happens. I'm impressed it's even lasted as long as it did, and for the past few months many games have been permanently discounted. At least they support their digital storefronts longer than Nintendo would ever dare to do so. Nintendo would have a heart attack imagining any of their storefronts lasting 19 years...

I've been using Xenia and Its always annoying to go through that text block and alter things, especially when you don't fully what everything Is. I got quite a few games to work either perfect or near perfect a lot faster with this manager which makes the process a lot less frustrating. Now to hope for more games to get fixed by Xenia themselves like World at War so it doesn't crash during the first mission lol.

Bro picked dark mode and said his eyes hurt in light mode while he has a full screen window behind the xenia window that's fully white and creates so much contrast between the 2 windows that it is really hard in the eyes. 😅
Capcom Arcade Cabinet is playable however the licensing works differently, so it's still "locked" but at least there were a few unlocked games included like Black Tiger.
I did it mate. mine asked me to unlock the full version inside the game. after a race or 2. works amazingly well. I love Daytona USA 2001. had it on my dreamcast I went to Dixons a no longer around tech store like UK currys PC world today and bought it. I loved peeling the plastic off of new games back then with the nice brittle af dreamcast cases that would shatter in an instant lol
Good video. I've tested this with Skate 3 and was getting janky glitches and tearing so I limited the FPS to 30 then using the Steam tool "lossless scaling" to double my FPS. My LS settings use the Nvidia type of scaling from the drop down menu and scaled it by x2 with performance mode on. I still get some glitches at the bottom of the screen if the floor is complicated eg. brickwork, but any smooth surfaces are rendering fine. Please do a video on your favourite Xbox marketplace games. Even if they can't be emulated at this moment in time. Thanks.
Considering how bad most modern games are now emulators like this are great. I’ve been going back and playing older games, there is no much more of a focus on just jumping in and immediately getting into the action and having fun.
I got this to play Symphony of The Night and it plays beautifully. the PS version is clasic, the graphis are just more cleaned up and loading screens aren't as jankey.

It isn't a fix to any issues that the program has as far as functionality and he never said it was. If you thought that's what hes saying I think that's more on you and what you want to be the case.
that's the state of the emulator, not settings. The emulator is very rough in general. The program is a better front end to make it more user friendly, not more compatible with games.

Gears of war was like one of the most popular xbox franchises they had back in the 7th generation. Unfortunately they abandoned backwards compatibility, which they could’ve definitely added more to the list, including Xbox titles. I know they said because of licensing reasons, but it couldn’t have been every game.
So me being excited, I installed this over my pervious install with all my settings in check, and now its all jacked up again lol. I dont really want to spend hours again trying to figure out all the correct setting again for all my 360 games.
