Sir Adnan, I noticed only one error in your video. Urdu is older than Hindi, so Hindi did not become Urdu. And, I might be wrong here, but weren't the Mughals speaking Chagatai which belongs to the family of Turkish languages but is not exactly Turkish, and I think it was Humayun who brought Persian to the Mughal Court after coming back from Persia which was under the rule of the Safavid Emperor Shah Tamasp I at that time.
I want you to know Shaykh that some of us will actually go through these books in shaa Allah. I've already gotten my hands on a copy of Anarchy and An era of darkness by Shashi for example (a book you mentioned in one of your lectures). I actually read William Dalrymple's Koh-i-noor and other books on history since I've started following you. So please keep this going. جزاك الله خيرا وأدخلك جنته

Proof India flourished under Aurangzeb Aurangzeb has become an extremely controversial figure in India since the BJP government took power. These academic books show statistically that Aurangzeb had Hindu generals serving under him. Far from being a religious bigot (someone who was out to demolish into temples and remove Hindus from power or to convert Hindus on mass), he was actually a very tolerant and a very good king. The author shows statistically that Hindus served under Aurangzeb within the Mughal state: 30 percent of the the Mughal dignitaries were Hindus! 30 percent that was a huge number more than all the Mughal Emperor's put together before Aurangzeb! So he was not a religious bigot as some would claim Also those claims that Hinduism suffered under the Mughals are recommended to read "cultures of encounter" which shows that he ensured that the Sanskrit culture flourished throughout the period of Jahangir Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb so Sanskrit language went through a renaissance in this particular period so far from being bigoted and persecutors of Hinduism rather the language of the Hindus the religious language Sanskrit flourished under the Mughals! ~ Aurangzeb: The Life and Legacy of India’s Most Controversial King 93.174.95.29/main/C17C2700DBC93A8391BB077CDD7D7201 Aurangzeb: The Man and the Myth 93.174.95.29/main/2F10BBBB2C185791D837FCD6E6F68ADE Culture of Encounters: Sanskrit at the Mughal Court 93.174.95.29/main/63FFF346AE8D0D60556E2D2CC69EAA48 Author: Audrey Truschke ~ In fact, during the reign of Aurangzeb, when the Moguls had governed more territory than ever before in India, India became the most powerful country in terms of GDP! 24 percent of the global GDP was in India during the time of Aurangzeb! In other words, India became the richest country in the world.
Salam I have a very important question I'm hoping you could just briefly answer. The sikhs claim that the mughals persecuted them n horribly tortured them due to their religion and sikhs always use that as a weapon to shut people down. Could you please tell me how much truth there is in this re sikhs persecution by the mughals? Thanks
@@yusuff-bx7kj wasalaam bro. i dont have a definitive answer however your question is quite loaded and flawed (could be unintentional khair). Sikhs belong to the relgion sikhism and therefore a relgious group whereas the mughals are just a societal group but the question you posed is as if the mughals ARE the representation of the muslim relgious group which they are not. There were islamic rulers amongst them and then very liberal power hungry ones, at the end of the day they were a dynasty. Oppresion against any religious group (living peacefully) is not allowed in Islam and even if some mughal rulers did, does not affect the religion of islam in any way, they just made mistakes in their life which were unislamic. we as muslims should not hold any dynasty in massive limelight as there wasnt conformity of religiousity amongst all the rulers across the centuries, we can only champion the khulafaa e rashideen and perhaps the rulership of salahuddin ayoubi rh to full extent (even the ottoman empire had some dodgy leaders). I hope that makes sense lol, however if we want to celebrate these dynasties for the culture and heritage they introduced into the world then thats great imo
@@zakkhan6054 Walaikumsalam brother. Hope ur well. If u read much of what I wrote, I dont make such claims of the mughals representing Islam. What I have wrote is that the mughals went after the sikhs accusing them of political rebellion and threatening the state as the mughals were a state and this is the confusion I have been attempting to clear up re the claim of the sikhs that they were being persecuted on religious grounds. Like any state, the mughals viewed them as a threat to the state. The mughals had many as their officials who were not muslims n so did the rashidun Khalifate in their times. Generally ppl see the mughals as someone who ran an Islamic state but it was more along the lines of a secular state allowing practices of other religions.
@@yusuff-bx7kj Okay i Understand your point now, i get it. if a non-muslim asked that same q they would later infer that islam is violent lool, but if sikhs were persecuted because they were a threat then thats different. however i dont think mughals had a khilafaa at all, the closest to an islamic state during mughal period was under Aurengzeb (rh) otherwise it was just a muslim governing state majority of the time that had rich heritage and culture. have to bear in mind that alot of these rulers before him were opioid addicts, alcoholics, and akinned to extremes of sufism which was far away from the sunnah, as well as no one gave bayah to the rulers so it cant be an islamic state, but i see your point. Islam theology did flourish ofc under mughal rule

Authenticity of Quran. Sunan ibn Majah 1944-It was narrated that Aishah said: “The Verse of stoning and of breastfeeding an adult ten times was revealed, and the paper was with me under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah died, we were preoccupied with his death, and a tame sheep came in and ate it. Goat ate parts of your quran.
@@samzwell Ridiculous. I don't know how authentic this Hadith is but many Muslims back then would have memorized the entire Quran. Even if a sheep supposedly ate it, it doesn't mean we lost the entire Quran. And it's not like that was the only copy of the Quran.

when dealing with history of islamic states and empires after the rashidun caliphs, one should keep in mind that it doesn't represent our religion, there have been persecutions, tyrant rulers, mysticism and superstitions, unlawful slavery, assassinations, military defeats... like any other place in the world, and any time in human history, our prophet peace be upon him divided the history of our umma into 4 periods, the rightly guided caliphate for 30 years, the "biting monarchy", which is most likely from the umayad "caliphate" (the prophet called it monarchy) to the ottomans, it has its pros and cons, then the "oppressive monarchy", which is where we're at, colonialism then divided small states with mostly boot-liking rulers, and sharia being shunned, and lastly the return of the righteous caliphate. so when reading about islamic history, don't let bias blind you, do not over-praise rulers and states, the only ones worthy of being taken as role models are the prophet and his companions, also know that islamic sources tend to embellish our history as much as the non-islamic ones tend to do the opposite.
But Sir,the fact remains that moghuls were muslim turko-mongol invaders. For the entire 300 years they were fighting battles against hindus as well as other muslim invaders of india. The other fact is that present muslims of indian subcontinent had no relation with moghul dynasty. They were either hindu converts or mixed blood muslims who were ruled by moghul dynasty. To identify with them simply makes no sense.
Jazak Allah Khair brother Can u please do a video or book recommendations about Maratha rule in india The myths and realities.....they are superhumanised... Please.....would be really grateful Adnan Bhai....
FROM THE QURAN - 33:50 "Prophet, We have made lawful to you the wives whom you have granted dowries and the slave girls whom God has given you as booty;..." Mohammad had sex with sex slaves
@@samzwell 10. God destroys a good family 'for no reason.' God made a bet with Satan that Job, a good and blameless man, would remain faithful even if he killed his children and ruined his life. Here we see God indicting himself for the crime, openly confessing that he destroyed a family "for no reason." "The Lord said to Satan, 'Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the Earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil. He still persists in his integrity, although you incited me against him, to destroy him for no reason.' " (Job 2:3 New Revised Standard Bible) 9. God destroys the fetuses of those who do not worship him. This is not the only feticidal passage in the bible, but it is the worst: "You shall acknowledge no God but me. . . . You are destroyed, Israel. . . . The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open." (Hosea 13:4, 9, 16 New International Version) 8. God approves the massacre of a peaceful people so one of his tribes could have a place to live. Most believers think God destroyed the Canaanites because they were depraved and immoral, although the bible does not make that claim. They were killed - and labeled "evil" and "wicked" - simply because they did not worship him. Here is a group of people who did nothing wrong. They were "at peace and secure," but they had to be eliminated. "And in those days the tribe of the Danites was seeking a place of their own where they might settle, because they had not yet come into an inheritance among the tribes of Israel. . . . Then they said to [the priest], 'Please inquire of God to learn whether our journey will be successful.' The priest answered them, 'Go in peace. Your journey has the Lord's approval.' . . . Then they took what Micah had made, and his priest, and went on to Laish, against a people at peace and secure. They attacked them with the sword and burned down their city. . . . The Danites rebuilt the city and settled there." (Judges 18:1-28 NIV) The Canaanites were not the evildoers. The Israelites were the invaders! 7. Babies are slaughtered and wives raped. The murderous Old Testament deity deemed human life to be worthless, placing his own megalomaniacal glory above human values. Here is one of the worst examples: "See, the day of the Lord is coming - a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger. . . . I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty. . . . Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be looted and their wives violated." (Isaiah 13:9-16 NIV) 6. A mixed-race couple is murdered by a godly priest to keep God's people pure. The righteous priest Phinehas murdered a loving couple for the crime of miscegenation. Then he was praised by God and rewarded for the hate crime with a perpetual priesthood for keeping the nation racially pure. "Just then one of the Israelites came and brought a Midianite woman into his family, in the sight of Moses and in the sight of the whole congregation of the Israelites. When Phinehas, son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he got up and left the congregation. Taking a spear in his hand, he went after the Israelite man into the tent, and pierced the two of them, the Israelite and the woman, through the belly. So the plague was stopped among the people of Israel. The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 'Phinehas, son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, has turned back my wrath from the Israelites by manifesting such zeal among them on my behalf that in my jealousy I did not consume the Israelites. Therefore say, "I hereby grant him my covenant of peace. It shall be for him and for his descendants after him a covenant of perpetual priesthood, because he was zealous for his God, and made atonement for the Israelites.' '" (Numbers 25:6-13 NRSV) 5. A daughter is burned as an acceptable sacrifice to God. General Jephthah made a vow with God in order to defeat the enemy. When Jephthah won the war, God received his hundred pounds of flesh. "And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord: 'If you give the Ammonites into my hands, whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the Lord's, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.' . . . When Jephthah returned to his home in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him but his daughter, dancing to the sound of timbrels! . . . After the two months, she returned to her father, and he did to her as he had vowed." (Judges 11:30-39 NIV) After burning his daughter, Jephthah was rewarded with a prestigious judgeship and was later buried with honor. 4. The cannibalistic God makes people eat human flesh. There are nine passages in the Old Testament where God makes cannibalistic threats. Here is the worst one: "And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat." (Leviticus 26:27-29 King James Version) 3. God threatens rape, then takes credit for it. This passage was new to me, and it blew me away. I guess I had only read it before in the King James Version, where the sexual molestation is not obvious. Here it is in the NRSV, where the Israelites were asking why they were being attacked by the Babylonians: "Hear and give ear; do not be haughty, for the Lord has spoken. . . . And if you say in your heart, 'Why have these things come upon me?' it is for the greatness of your iniquity that your skirts are lifted up, and you are violated . . . because you have forgotten me and trusted in lies. I myself will lift up your skirts over your face, and your shame will be seen." (Jeremiah 13:15-26 NRSV) "Skirts lifted up" is sexual assault. "Violate" is rape. The King James Version has the quaint "heels made bare," which obscures the sexual assault. Notice that the "iniquity" for which they were being raped was not immorality or depravity; it was simply because "you have forgotten me." 2. God threatens sexual molestation. The Lord will harass attractive uppity women by exposing their private parts. "Moreover the Lord saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts." (Isaiah 3:16-17 KJV) The New International Version covers up this embarrassing passage with "make their scalps bald" in place of "discover their secret parts [Hebrew: poth = vagina]." Other translations are more honest: The Orthodox Jewish Bible has "lay bare their nakedness," Amplified Bible "stripped naked," Complete Jewish Bible "expose their private parts," Common English Version "uncover their private parts," and Living Bible "expose their nakedness for all to see." Even if "daughters of Zion" is a metaphor for Israel, it is a metaphor of sexual assault. 1. God wants you to be happy to dash babies against the rocks. I have always thought this was the worst verse in the bible, and my opinion remains unchanged. "O daughter Babylon, you devastator! Happy shall they be who pay you back what you have done to us! Happy shall they be who take your little ones and dash them against the rock!"(Psalm 137:8-9 NRSV) God was not merely saying that regrettable collateral damage might occur during wartime. He said believers should be happy - some translations say "blessed" - to kill innocent babies of those who are keeping you from worshipping your own god. • • • Anyone who claims to admire and worship the biblical God has either abandoned all sense of moral judgment or has never actually read the Old Testament. Since most believers are good people, I prefer to assume the latter. I think the world would be a much better place if people would actually read the book. A.A. Milne, author of Winnie the Pooh, said: "The Old Testament is responsible for more atheism, agnosticism, disbelief - call it what you will - than any book ever written; it has emptied more churches than all the counterattractions of cinema, motor bicycle and golf course."

Proof India flourished under Aurangzeb
Aurangzeb has become an extremely controversial figure in India since the BJP government took power.
So he was not a religious bigot as some would claim
Also those claims that Hinduism suffered under the Mughals are recommended to read "cultures of encounter" which shows that he ensured that the Sanskrit culture flourished throughout the period of Jahangir Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb so Sanskrit language went through a renaissance in this particular period so far from being bigoted and persecutors of Hinduism rather the language of the Hindus the religious language Sanskrit flourished under the Mughals!

In fact, during the reign of Aurangzeb, when the Moguls had governed more territory than ever before in India, India became the most powerful country in terms of GDP!

What books are good to read about the ottoman empire
Sanskrit is not the language of Hindus. Tamil is and it's older than Sanskrit. 8:30
when dealing with history of islamic states and empires after the rashidun caliphs, one should keep in mind that it doesn't represent our religion, there have been persecutions, tyrant rulers, mysticism and superstitions, unlawful slavery, assassinations, military defeats... like any other place in the world, and any time in human history,
our prophet peace be upon him divided the history of our umma into 4 periods, the rightly guided caliphate for 30 years, the "biting monarchy", which is most likely from the umayad "caliphate" (the prophet called it monarchy) to the ottomans, it has its pros and cons, then the "oppressive monarchy", which is where we're at, colonialism then divided small states with mostly boot-liking rulers, and sharia being shunned, and lastly the return of the righteous caliphate.
so when reading about islamic history, don't let bias blind you, do not over-praise rulers and states, the only ones worthy of being taken as role models are the prophet and his companions, also know that islamic sources tend to embellish our history as much as the non-islamic ones tend to do the opposite.
Nothing represents your religion better especially your prophet than this time. He was a Murder, thief, slavetrader, warlord and rapist.

For the entire 300 years they were fighting battles against hindus as well as other muslim invaders of india.

FROM THE QURAN - 33:50
"Prophet, We have made lawful to you the wives whom you have granted dowries and the slave girls whom God has given you as booty;..."
Mohammad had sex with sex slaves
@@samzwell 10. God destroys a good family 'for no reason.'
God made a bet with Satan that Job, a good and blameless man, would remain faithful even if he killed his children and ruined his life. Here we see God indicting himself for the crime, openly confessing that he destroyed a family "for no reason."
"The Lord said to Satan, 'Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the Earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil. He still persists in his integrity, although you incited me against him, to destroy him for no reason.' " (Job 2:3 New Revised Standard Bible)
9. God destroys the fetuses of those who do not worship him.
This is not the only feticidal passage in the bible, but it is the worst:
"You shall acknowledge no God but me. . . . You are destroyed, Israel. . . . The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open." (Hosea 13:4, 9, 16 New International Version)
They attacked them with the sword and burned down their city. . . . The Danites rebuilt the city and settled there." (Judges 18:1-28 NIV)
The Canaanites were not the evildoers. The Israelites were the invaders!
7. Babies are slaughtered and wives raped.
The murderous Old Testament deity deemed human life to be worthless, placing his own megalomaniacal glory above human values. Here is one of the worst examples:
"See, the day of the Lord is coming - a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger. . . . I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty. . . . Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be looted and their wives violated." (Isaiah 13:9-16 NIV)
It shall be for him and for his descendants after him a covenant of perpetual priesthood, because he was zealous for his God, and made atonement for the Israelites.' '" (Numbers 25:6-13 NRSV)
5. A daughter is burned as an acceptable sacrifice to God.
General Jephthah made a vow with God in order to defeat the enemy. When Jephthah won the war, God received his hundred pounds of flesh.
"And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord: 'If you give the Ammonites into my hands, whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the Lord's, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.' . . . When Jephthah returned to his home in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him but his daughter, dancing to the sound of timbrels! . . . After the two months, she returned to her father, and he did to her as he had vowed." (Judges 11:30-39 NIV)
After burning his daughter, Jephthah was rewarded with a prestigious judgeship and was later buried with honor.
4. The cannibalistic God makes people eat human flesh.
There are nine passages in the Old Testament where God makes cannibalistic threats. Here is the worst one:
"And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat." (Leviticus 26:27-29 King James Version)
3. God threatens rape, then takes credit for it.
This passage was new to me, and it blew me away. I guess I had only read it before in the King James Version, where the sexual molestation is not obvious. Here it is in the NRSV, where the Israelites were asking why they were being attacked by the Babylonians:
"Hear and give ear; do not be haughty, for the Lord has spoken. . . . And if you say in your heart, 'Why have these things come upon me?' it is for the greatness of your iniquity that your skirts are lifted up, and you are violated . . . because you have forgotten me and trusted in lies. I myself will lift up your skirts over your face, and your shame will be seen." (Jeremiah 13:15-26 NRSV)
"Skirts lifted up" is sexual assault. "Violate" is rape. The King James Version has the quaint "heels made bare," which obscures the sexual assault.
Notice that the "iniquity" for which they were being raped was not immorality or depravity; it was simply because "you have forgotten me."
2. God threatens sexual molestation.
The Lord will harass attractive uppity women by exposing their private parts.
"Moreover the Lord saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts." (Isaiah 3:16-17 KJV)
The New International Version covers up this embarrassing passage with "make their scalps bald" in place of "discover their secret parts [Hebrew: poth = vagina]." Other translations are more honest: The Orthodox Jewish Bible has "lay bare their nakedness," Amplified Bible "stripped naked," Complete Jewish Bible "expose their private parts," Common English Version "uncover their private parts," and Living Bible "expose their nakedness for all to see." Even if "daughters of Zion" is a metaphor for Israel, it is a metaphor of sexual assault.
1. God wants you to be happy to dash babies against the rocks.
I have always thought this was the worst verse in the bible, and my opinion remains unchanged.
"O daughter Babylon, you devastator! Happy shall they be who pay you back what you have done to us! Happy shall they be who take your little ones and dash them against the rock!"(Psalm 137:8-9 NRSV)
God was not merely saying that regrettable collateral damage might occur during wartime. He said believers should be happy - some translations say "blessed" - to kill innocent babies of those who are keeping you from worshipping your own god.
• • •
Anyone who claims to admire and worship the biblical God has either abandoned all sense of moral judgment or has never actually read the Old Testament.

What happened to adnan have you stopped responding to DW and Sam shamoun. You put your arguments without supporting it by factual evidence.
For the matter of fact.. When these Islamic people so called mughals attacked/invaded hindustan which they're good at.. They massacred millions of people, forcefully mass converted all the non Muslims, genocide, torture, destruction of all the hindu temples more than 30k on which your so called precious mosques we're built, the most humble islamic mughal man "Alauddin Khilji" destroyed the 1st ever university in world called "Nalanda University" which had all the ancient books of our religion. And you have the audacity to call out these tyrant mughals as heroes and how they invaded and made hindustan a better place by building Taj and red forte?? Please clear your facts. They must be Heroes to you Islamic people but to us and to the world they're tyrants who only killed people and destroyed our land and tried enforcing their beliefs.
