Mistborn Era One -Mistborn (The Final Empire) -The Well of Ascension -The Hero of Ages (The Eleventh Metal) 2. Warbreaker 3 Stormlight Archive -The Way of Kings -Words of Radiance (Edgedancer) -Oathbringer 4. Elantris (The Emperor’s Soul) (The Hope of Elantris) 5. Mistborn Era Two -Alloy of Law -Shadows of Self -Bands of Mourning (Allomancer Jak and the Pits of Eltania) (Mistborn: Secret History) 6.White Sand (I forgot to mention this in the video, but it’s a short graphic novel, there’s currently two volumes!) After those I would follow up with two more short stories that are set on completely different planets from any of the main series (these can both be found in Arcanum Unbounded and are also available in ebook formats!) -Shadows For Silence in the Forests of Hell -Sixth of Dusk

I am working on reading more into the Cosmere this year. I started with the Mistborn Era one and then right into Era 2. I am now working on the Stormlight Archive. Just finished Way of Kings and starting on Words of Radiance. I really want to pick up Elantris and Warbreaker soon as well.
Awesome! I would suggest, if you haven't started words of radiance yet, to take a small break and read warbeaker first (if you can) those Easter eggs I mentioned start popping up in Words of Radiance! - Bree
One thing I would add to this is to keep an eye out for a character named Hoid as you're going through the cosmere. I believe he has turned up in every cosmere book (not counting novellas), and he's very intriguing and is very mysterious, and there are a lot of shenanigans that he gets up to that are obliquely referenced in other books.

I read Elantris before Stormlight, and would recommend that order because Sanderson recycles plot elements between the two. And if you can see how Elantris will end, then it is much less enjoyable. I find it thoroughly enjoyable. Have not read Warbreaker yet.
The thing about Elantris is that it's sort of, universally recognized as the "worst" book by the fandom (I still love it but it is probably my least favorite of all the Cosmere) and I've seen many people start there and not like it and so not continue with the rest of the Cosmere. It would fit nicely before stormlight for sure, especially because there is a small...easter egg from Elantris in Oathbringer. But I wouldn't recommend it as the best starting point over all. - Bree

I've just read Mistborn and a week ago I started with Elantris and I'm also seeing a lot of simmilarities in the general elements of the story, lilke the priesthood systems. I'm just on chapter 5 so I can't say for sure but if all of his stories have the same plot then... oh well
@@carolinastonge6032 I will admit there is a consistency of theme and ideas within Sanderson. But Elantris goes to a very different place from Mistborn. Hold on!
My personnal order makes sure that you will be able to get all "easter eggs", as you said : 1- Mistborn Era 1 Trilogy / Warbreaker / Elantris+Hope of Elantris, in whatever order I might not recommend to start wih Elantris as it is "weaker" that the other (characters a bit more stereotipical, especially Rheoden) even though it is still good 2- Emperor's Soul 3- Mistborn Era 2 (Except the last book which is not yet published) 4- Mistborn Secret History 5- Stromlight archives in last because of easter eggs from Elantris, Warbreaker and Mistborn Era 2 (at least, might have missed some other) Obviously no suggestion for the end of Mistorn Era 2 and Stormlightr Archive as they are not yet published as of June 2020. No suggestions for other novels and White Sand, as I have not read it yet. Also, I was VERY sad to read Warbreaker after Stormlight Archives...
