the actor playing jesus is 1/2 black 1/2 white. the point is that we're not here to argue about facial features. take some time and actually listen to the song.
The bible tell us that Jesus was a black man. How can you say do argue about Jesus's feature , but you and don't have a problem worship white boy in the pictures in your house or churches and him Jesus. The bible says that Jesus had hair of WOOL and skin of color of brass that look like it was burn in a oven . Jesus was black. There was another message in this video that a lot of people did not get in this video.
A book I was reading said that Kanye wanted Dave Chappelle to play Jesus initially but it never happened.

Ha! This was all filmed on my very block in my old hood, Englewood, Chi City in 03! He signed my College Dropout cd that day. Wish MTV, BET, would've given it airplay, found it just as good as the other 2 versions. Miss the old Kanye with meaningful content, this new Ye is possessed with $, hoes and other dark content. I pray for his troubled soul cause his original music truly inspired me.

Truth is, we are all limited in our ability to know the ultimate truths of the universe (is there a God, Jesus, etc). But it's inspiring that all peoples look to their own conception of goodness, truth, and beauty at all (gods for some, the universe or the important parts of ourselves for others). Jesus is shown here, not as an overseer/enforcer, but as helpful guide who cares about us. That ultimately teaches us that *living ethically is GOOD FOR US* - something on which we should all agree.

Not everyone wants their kids listening to racist terms like how he says "nigger" in the first one. This is more appropriate so kids aren't calling each other "nigger". It's ignorant to use a slave term.
