Today we have a request. It is to put the Curry Class against the Centaur Class.
Both of these ships are classed as 'Light Cruisers'.
Will they be an even match?

They took all the parts of an excelsior and put them together wrong.
I always thought the Curry was a rushed fighter carrier for Peregrine Attack Wings in the late Dominion war. The secondary hull was just dedicated to fighter deployment and repair.

Considering the Curry is essentially a half assed backwards Excelsior with Miranda nacelles and no neck, why wouldn't it fall under Heavy cruiser like the Excelsior?
RE: The cones on the top of the ship. They put them up for Christmas and never bothered to take them down.

the centaur also featured in deep space nine. it tried to intersept sisco when they were on route to destroy a dominion facility in a captured ship
So did the Curry class. In DS9's episode "A Time to Stand", I believe, the opening shot shows a few dozen damaged ships limping away from the battle lines, being led by the Defiant. One of those ships is a damaged Curry class. It's a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, though. The Centaur got a bit more screentime.
Centaur-class has been hastily constructed by the looks of it. Power usage seems to be too much for main power source. Like it's using the power of 2 ships at the same time.
🤔I do like the Centaur.. looks sleek and capable.. the Curry. interesting design.. but almost like when attaching the saucer.. one in charge of placement was not paying attention..lol. style unique style.. still nice.. and both are evenly matched.. like you said.. think Spock and Bones trying to configure the torpedoes.. never know.. lol.. love the battle Admiral..!!!😊🖖
I believe the aft knobs are phaser cannon emitters from the Miranda painted gold on the Centaur, probably for some other function. Perhaps they could be weapons with different internals to feed from the impulse reactors for enhanced strafing runs, but they just happened to be offline when attacking Sisko.
2:44 they're traffic cones required by the insurance department of Quark's Entertainment LLC. The Centaur class is always the first ship to be dispatched to clean up the mess caused by Retro Badger's collisions. 💥 🛑

I really like the Curry & Centaur class both look really cool
I always vew the centaur calls as the Miranda class of the excelsior
They look like they are used to test the excelsior ship sections to see how they hold up under stress in space.
The Curry Class looks likes something from Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Dark timeline
The Centaur is a pretty ship, very elegant but very lightweight. I can see it fitting the light cruiser bracket, if the Excelsior is a heavy cruiser or battlecruiser.
The Curry is an interesting looking ship and I'm being polite. It just looks so... Odd. Given it has an Excelsior drive section I would've imagined it would've had better power reserves than the Centaur, sharper teeth as well.
The Greebly's on the Centaur are probably related to its impulse engines as they are attached to them. They could be more Fusion reactors as the class is very fast and agile...more power is welcome
Quite like Centaur. The Curry on the other hand is what you get when you order your Excelsior from Wish.

Never was a fan of the Currey class. The Centaur Class I really love. The U.S.S. Centaur was also in Deep Space Nine.
Yes the one in Resurgence was called the Resolute. I got to admit I like the changes they made for the Resolute. Not sure if my computer can play Resurgence...I'll have to find out.
The Centaur is an awesome ship I love it. I got to get Starcraft's model of it sometime.

There are much prettier versions I’ve seen of the curry class which I adore but the only original version makes me uneasy lol 😂

Curry is not a rush job. she is same age roughly as an Exclesior. Curry was to replace the Ptolomy Class.

Whoever built the Curry class must’ve been smoking something when they designed it. Why would you put it in that crazy backwards configuration instead of a normal ship configuration?

From what I understand the Curry class was developed after the first Borg invasion as a fighter carrier. It's supposed to be lightly armed because its main weapons are its fighters.
Try this battle again, and launch fighters/shuttles next time, see what happens
Terrible kitbash only rivaled by the Yager class. I would have preferred the Miranda nacelles on the Excelsior class than this.
