One caution .. if I may please?
Make sure that the 'ground sheet' portion of the tarp does not extend beyond (or even close to the limit of the overhead cover).
Otherwise, rain will fall / drip directly onto the water-impervious ground sheet and run into and collect inside the shelter.

In the infantry we were in shit if it was higher than the knee.
Smaller half shelter tarp but, with a larger tarp, you can make a wider shelter or fold the floor in so it doesn't collect water.
