I was worried it might be too cheaty 🫣 And I hear you for wanting everyone to have babies, I struggled with fertility for a few years before becoming pregnant with my first, I think I lived vicariously through my sims by having them have lots of babies even in my personal saves 😂

I wouldn’t mind if u got rid of baby tries altogether and did whatever’s clever. So anything u’d like to do sounds good to me. I’m obsessed with Cailan like I was with plumbob’s Vilkas. I need sim hottie rehab. Thank you for this I’m inspired for a more in depth tree overview like this after the plague! (For those that are left 😔)
Zayne is such handsome bugger but I'm at a loss as to what to do with him 😂 should he hold off on getting married in hopes that Fatima will leave Brayden? Or should he just go and get himself a wife and try to move on?? 😩 True, that's how you do it in yours isn't it? I guess I sort of like the constraint that limited baby tries give me because otherwise I might go a little crazy with the baby making (as seen with Frederik & Rosemary 😅) but I also want some freedom in "spending" them how I see fit 🫣 Oh my, it's an honour for Cailan to be compared to Vilkas 🤣 And I would LOVE to see an in-depth overview of your sims, I think I'd actually prefer to see it BEFORE the plague so that the losses are even more heart-wrenching 🤭
@@citrinesimmer If it makes sense for Zayne to get himself a wife, let him move on. Nothing feels certain with Fatima and Braydan! they may part or they may last another 20 yrs lol. Oooo good point with doing the overview before the plague!!
I loooove these kind of videos. Really get to get updates/refreshers on everyone. But man...the current gen is sooooo messy already debt cheating, wild childs...i love it i don't mind seeing the rolls spread out because fun is fun and that's the important part! i always believe in your story telling (and the sims doing what they please~😂)
I agree with the moving baby tries around too! While I do enjoy the randomness of the dice throw in determining which branches survive, it's as you said: having families waaay down the line of succession have a boatload of children just adds management hassle for no reward.
@@citrinesimmer Absolutely. And at the end of the day, the challenge is supposed to be fun, so I think it's okay to tweak the rules a bit to make it more enjoyable for oneself. For example, I think it's boring if all sims die at exactly 6/13/20/30 etc (barring historical events/childbirth), so for my game if a sim fails their birthday roll I throw a d7/d10 and give them the numer I roll in additional years to live. Just makes it a bit more fun for me.

I've been considering starting to do this too, since it'll make things a little more varied and give a chance for sims to use up a few baby tries if they fail their teen or YA age up. I forgot to do it last time I had an adult fail their roll though 🤦♀

I’m fine with sharing baby chances with characters/main families that are more interesting and we’re more invested in. Auguste definitely needs more baby chances…don’t waste those good genes!
I thought most of my sims were following a fairly traditional lifestyle, but the further I got into recording this the more I realized what a mess everyone's life is 😂 I swear most of it is due to the autonomy! 🤭

Playing the ultimate decades challenge is honestly SO much fun, it really puts a new spin on playing the Sims and adds some much needed difficulty to it! And I don't think I've ever let the autonomy go this wild either 😂
