Thank you so much, i broke the arm off my new glasses, your video helped me take the lenses out and put in my old frames, saved me a pretty penny. 😊
perfect, exactly why I make videos :) thank you for sharing your feedback!
Much thanks! I snagged a couple of frames that were discontinued... they're just like the ones I broke but haven't had the nerve to try to put the lenses in. This helped so much! With all the stupid videos on here it's nice to have one that actually helps with something practical! Have a lovely day! 🌼 🌸 🌻
thank you for the feedback! glad the video helped :)
Thanks for the video my Dad just had cataract surgery so I was hoping this was possible.
Thanks for showing different shaped frames. I had to use a blow dryer to heat my frames, then my lenses popped in easily.
Many thanks for the help 👌
I needed to replace mine and I'M DYING 😂 so my glasses were missing an arm and had a broken frame and I'm poor af cos I need to pay for it myself and I don't have the money (I'm 17) so I got a really cheap pair of reading glasses off Amazon that were about the same size so I could use the frame but they were the TINIEST bit too big so i melted the plastic a bit and now they look like they have little wings on the bottom 😂far from perfect but it's a start (I can't wear these in public EVER)
my one of two lenses wont budge. any tips? my fingers hurt lol my frame's a snap-in
you save me from buying new pair. 😆😃🤗
Going for a cataract op tomorrow, will this work on thick myopic lenses?
Thank you! Just replaced my lenses!
Thanks for that...worked PERFECT!
Super duper!
Thank you!!!🎉
just did mine, i was having issues so found this video. while watching video i had new frames with blanks enjoying the hot-tub slow-cooker bath and the prescription lenses chillin in the freezer - so easy when you add extra science.
can't do it, had frames that were glasses turned to shades, reyed putting in old regular lenses and not a chance, tried for an hour, I think teh glasses have changed shape over time.
Thanks so very much...saved me squinting for 2 weeks while my new glasses were being made!
Thanks for the clear video, explanation and demonstration. I was growing so frustrated and I have a DMV driving test in the AM! Saved me so much stress and anxiety
Worked exactly like the demonstration. My new frame came with clear demo lenses in them so I took those out first to get a feel for it. Way easier than I thought it would be. Thanks for the video!
Thank you. This video is so helpful and easy to follow. I changed my lenses with so much ease 😊
If i need to buy a new lens for my glasses, is there a way to know which form the lens has to have? Or do they need to be cut? I have one damaged lens that i would like to replace
Great question!
The lens lab uses the frame to trace the form of the lens to ensure proper fit back into the frame. Any variance can cause the lens to be loose.
One more note here, most labs will not make just one lens, you’ll need to order both. Creating both lenses at the same time assures proper color match for tinted lenses and for RX lenses, proper vision… any variance in material, design or measurement can hinder vision.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any follow up questions. We can make new lenses for your frame. For pricing email me directly at josh@enjoyoptical.co
I purchased the identical frame for my lenses when my frame broke but I cannot get the lens in. Can you help with this? The lens is a little big and after using a hair dryer several times I still couldn’t get it in to the frame.
@@selenebelle-oudry5063 thank you for the question, that is a tough one :( the smallest difference in size can be a difficult problem. my best advice is to start in the very corner, top of bridge side then go clockwise, pulling the acetate around the lens with each edge popping in as you move around. heat helps but be careful not to heat too much as this can melt the frame. The only other option is to ask your local optical shop to edge in the lens for you; with a machine they can trim off the excess lens material to help it fit. hope this helps, I know this is a tricky maneuver. When it works, it's amazing but there can be challenges!
@@myglassesguy thank you for responding ☺️ I’ll give it another try!
Will this work for RayBan (RB4227) sunglasses?
I broke my RayBans then found out the model is discontinued. I bought a used pair, not realizing they have prescription lenses.
As such, I want to replace prescription lenses with my sunglass lenses.
Nervous about breaking the pair i bought while trying to remove the lenses.
great question. I can understand the hesitancy as there is always a possibility of breaking the lenses or frames during installation :( but if you want, it is definitely possible to swap the lenses in this RayBan frame. Another option is to offer to pay a local optician to swap them for you. Hope this helps! thanks for contributing to the channel with a comment :)
Worked great, thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad it worked 🙌🏽
Brilliant, thank you!
Thank you for the encouraging words and for watching :) enjoy your day!
Don't most places do that free? Ty so much!
I just don't trust myself can't break them!
Excellent tutorial, quick to the point
Exactly! Who wants 15 mins of blah blah blah before the point! Lol
Thank you
