- Rapper Rapsody joined Jemele to discuss her critically acclaimed album, “Eve,” which was an ode to some of the most influential and creative Black women of our time.
Rapsody shares why she decided to create a rap album dedicated entirely to Black women, and why she named her upcoming tour, “A Black Woman Created This.” Rapsody also discusses her relationship with respected producer 9th Wonder, clamoring for respect in a male-dominated industry, and what it meant to get a huge co-sign from megastar Cardi B.

I’ve been trying to find this interview. Glad I can finally see it💜
This is the what it looks like to see two grown women talking. Love the conversation & respect given to one another.
Rapsody and Queen Latifah represent HIPHOP the right way!
Jemele yes!!!! That's what I'm talking about! Rap is the greatest!!!
Love Rapsody's music ❤
Eve is absolutely top tier Albums absolutely beautiful
Rapsody !!!! This episode was everything!!
Eve is the best album, not just hip-hop, that I've heard in the last 5 years! Rapsody should have been nominated that year, damn shame!
Always loved Rhap, she is a very deep thinker and it presents itself when she performs.
She is the true of essence of proving you can be Dope and still keep yourself covered.
Exactly
Big shout out to Rap for knowing that there is a huge South African fanbase that rocks with her
Jamele, i gotta a book coming soon and would be Highly honored if you could review an interview me. Im about maybe 30 days from print.
Start by spelling her name right.. it’s right there
@@blackspider1405. 😂

Why does Rapsody mention every female rapper but Nicki Minaj who still doin it big?
She don't recognize her like that - simple. In one of her interviews, she once did if I am not mistaken
@@kuhlevelaphi6441 its very interesting she named the 2nd tier female rappers but not nicki
@@Tyson-k1rbec Nicki is bubblegum pop and her raps are nursery rhymes.
@@belladonna5904 She could be jealous of Nicki's sucess also

💐 🌹 🌸 🏵 🌼 💐 n love fo both of these ladies. Thx u!!
Let’s go RAP!! Love to see it! ❤
Dope
MC. Period!
Im loving this space for 1 of our greats!!❤❤❤❤
I have heard the whole “we don’t want to pay for the glam squad” argument for not signing female rappers and starting tours. I think it’s all a crock. So many dope females out there of various styles. Rapsody is ridiculously underrated she is definitely carrying the torch from Lyte, Queen La, Bahamadia etc… she cut from a different cloth. The late 80’s and the early 90’s had a array of ladies.
DOPENESS!! ❤️💕❤️
Great interview. Is it from back in time?
That’s what I want to know. These interviews seem to be from years ago but they are just being aired.
Dope interview I love some Rhapsody Where can i find the new podcast because i felt listen to this pod before of unbothered
