You may try contract jobs as a layout design engineer.. like a consultancy. Learn digital circuit physical design courses.. synthesis and Apr flow with synopsis or cadence tools.. which is what mtech students learn. You will definitely get a job.

She's right. My mtech seniors from vit got placed in companies like Qualcomm, Intel, Cadence, TI and NI ranging from 15-40 LPA. Even my seniors who studied in NIT Rourkela did not get that as my seniors from VIT Vellore.
My brother did Bteach mechanical engineering in VIT back in I guess 2008. Even then they had really amazing placements, at par with IIT’s And very fortunately the French givt held an exam for m tech programs in France on scholarship. My brother woke up one day, his room mate said I am going to give this exam. You also come. They both went in boxers. Gave the exam. And somehow my brother cleared the interview, and he studied m tech in a govt aided institution in France. Free free free. The same university offered him a PHD program, again free and paid stipend based on his m tech dissertation. And now he is a doctorate on nuclear reactor/aviation design. USA was more than happy to take him on highest position. He is green card is in a super sonic mode. Accelerated more than any Indian that lived for 15-20 years. 5 more years and he is a citizen. In short placements is a very very crucial aspect of a college. Not just rankings
Brother you are ignorant, shes saying 2-3 lakhs is per month. VLSI branches in private colleges also pay very high. I know few of them from VIT with 50 LPA CTC. Thats the reality. If u do power electronics or power systems in any IIT u get a average 10-16 LPA. So branch matters not college.
A typical mtech graduate working as SoC PD engineer should start with atleast 15 lakhs per annum working with any reputed big names in the industry. Pay scale and hikes are comparable to any software engineer working for faang companies. Basically its a core job with highest payout in the market.
It's per annum which converts to 25-30k per month on average. As a fresh college graduate with zero experience you can't get a salary package of 2-3 lakhs per month. But yes once you accumulate enough industry experience and exposure then it's a different story altogether. It's the same with Doctors too unless as an engineering or medical student you get an opportunity overseas this is what you usually end up with as a fresher.

Nowday software zombie's 🧟🧟♂️ are everywhere....guys..i am regretting why i choose software engineering 20 years back....😢..in Bangalore 9/10 people stand beside me are software zombies 🧟♂️....pleaee do not join any software companies....in next 5-10 years there will not be coding jobs or flashy salaries due to AI and automation.....learn some theruatical physics or mathematics instead or do semiconductor technology courses...you can survive for next 30-40 years..

20-30 lakh/month just outside College be it Bachelor or Masters or PhD is impossible out of job, No matter what. Even if you go to US and work in Top Tech or Finance still you earn only about 70-1.5Cr per Year and there things would be expensive. Only business can fetch you that much money. There is no 20-30L/month job anywhere in world just fresh out of college. Very few careers offer this much salary after 15-20yrs of experience.
First, the girl burned out daddy's money, second she did GATE(which means she wasnt in a good college during her bachelor's) third, even after doing GATE(which is way easier compared to JEE) she got into VIT and even in VIT she went to chennai and not vellore. And even in VIT chennai, she got into VLSI and not CSE😂😂😂. And they say money doesnt solve all the life's problems

GATE is also competitive and very tough. Electronics paper is extremely tough, even 400/1000 score is hard to get. Other than that, VLSI packages are higher in NITs than MTech in CSE
