Good afternoon Bonita and Raymond Orange marmalade my favorite. You and Raymond bring the marmalade and I’ll provide the English muffins and either English breakfast tea or Earl Grey and we’ll have a nice chat Have a great week Stay safe
Nice! Sounds lovely. Its nice when you can get the local grocery store work with you to get things you need and like. Thank you for stopping by and enjoy to the fullest. :) Bonita
Good morning my friends Bonita and Raymond Hussey. Hope you and your family are doing well. I'm still still recovering from Covoid 19 for the 2nd time even though I had all my Covoid vaccine and booster shots. Day 8 for not having a cigarette and I feel good about quitting smoking now. Still waiting for the cardiologist and Neurologist to call for my appointments. This marmalade recipe reminds me of my late Grandmother who made all of her jams and canned all her vegetables from her big garden. Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe and bringing back great memories. Have a good Sunday and a wonderful Blessed week full of Good Blessings for you Bonita and Raymond and family. Stay safe my friends hugs from Wendy Bertie in Toronto Ontario
Hi Wendy, Thank you for your message and sending our well wishes to you for a speedy recovery and two thumbs up for a week from having a cigarette. Thank you for stopping by and I'm so glad our recipe this week is bringing back fond memories of your late grandmother. Enjoy and you as well have a Blessed Week. :) Bonita
New canning rules now, you no longer need to sterilize jars and lids if your process time is 10” or more. The process time sterilizes sufficiently. Certainly saves on time.
Thank you Bonita!!! I have never made marmalade but have made jams. I will definitely try this as we love marmalade. You take the fear out of cooking for me. I am so glad you shared with Raymond. Have a great week, stay safe, and keep healthy.
That sounds lovely and thank you for sharing your method with us. I find when they cook for 40 minutes the peel soften up and after when you cook them with the sugar the sugar caramelize them and they fall apart when you touch them. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely week. :) Bonita
Wonderful! I bought an extra bag of oranges this week, specifically to make orange marmalade - using my grandmum's recipe. I've watched your video and OMG, it's the same recipe as my gandmum's! Thanks!! I made this along with you today and I know it will be DELICIOUS!!!
Oh my that is so wonderful and thank you for sharing that with us. I'm sure you are going to love your grandma's recipe but I'm so honoured to have a part in the recipe. :) Bonita
Thank you Ella, for stopping by, and for enjoying our NEW recipe this week. Good question? A few months ago I did a review on these PEEK8 cookware, including this dutch oven. They are amazing and I love them. But a few months after I posted the review the company just fall off the grid. So I don't no if they lost their company or have changed the company name. So I unlisted the review because no one got access to the links to buy a set. But again these are the best pots and pans I've ever owned. I will relist the review when I touch base with the company. Have a wonderful Sunday :) Bonita
What about all the membranes between the orange sections? Also, how do you get marmalade that isn't cloudy or too chunky? Mine tastes wonderful, but is full of membrane pieces and is more like preserves than marmalade.
Thank you for your message and for stopping by...when cooking them down you can remove some of that before adding it to the pot. But for the must part you will have some. You can also grate the peel smaller and remove the inner membranes before adding them to the pot. I hope you like the taste and enjoy to the fullest. Bonita
You are very welcome Shirley, I'm glad to help. Thank you for your message and for enjoying our NEW recipe today. We have lots of tasty jams and jellies available on our channel but this is my first recipe posted for a marmalade and the oranges and lemons just was so good this week I thought its a good day for that. Wow Bonita you are such a great teacher. I learned so much about how to make marmalade in your video today. You give cooking classes not just videos. My husband loves Marmalade. I am going to make your recipe next month for him and pair it up with a bread from your book . I will record the bread I hope and show a jar of your marmalade and link this video. I need to send this video via email to my sister in-law she may want to try making as well.
