To me, he uses his voice as an extra instrument, like Geddy Lee, albeit WAY higher! Kid has some SERIOUS pipes !! I got the Zep vibes with their early stuff, notsomuch now .. They've definitely come into their own now!
I first saw these guys in November 2021 when they opened for Metallica at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia and they absolutely blew my mind!!!! I’ve been a fan ever since!!!!!
I just LOVE them! Agree, the are insanely great! I hear strong mix of Rush and Led Zeppelin with the music and vocals. Just so good to be such young kids!👌 Thanks for doing this song.
This is a wonderful blend of a bit of so much of YES, RUSH, LED ZEPPELIN, QUEEN with vocals, lyrics, presence and performance....delivery. When "How' and 'Why' meet up. When the unforgettable comes around again. Thank you for your great reaction!!!!
And they are just as great LIVE! Blew me out of the water when I saw them in concert!! Josh’s range is outer worldly. AMAZING BAND!! And a must see live
I almost went to a concert last week However life is a stinker and I had to schedule a dr thing and recovery time. Boooo They’re great. That is all them too. They really do play and Josh is insane
I only recently found these guys. I can't believe I didn't hear them on the radio. Josh is an amazing vocalist. I don't like that people keep comparing him to Geedy Lee or Robert Plant or Prince. Josh has his own style and tones. Ones that few singers can match. Just bought my third album in three weeks. These three brothers and friend should go far. I wish them all the best of luck in the future.
This band and Josh has really evolved their sound over time. When they first started they were very much inspired by bands like Led Zepplin, the Doors, Stix and many more that dominated the 60s and 70s. The lead singer Josh and his brothers ( excluding the drummer who’s just a friend) had a dad who was in a Blues band. They kind of wanted to bring that old classic rock sound back to mainstream. Unfortunately their early stuff got a lot of hate and critism for being too similar to Led Zepplin to the point where they were reduced to a cover band by many music critics. Now, I have clear feelings on this and tend to disagree but I DO agree that they did very much inspire their sound, their music, and certain mannerisms after the band. It worked for me though, I’ve been a fan of Zepplin for a long time so a band bringing that back doesn’t really bother me in the slightest. Led Zepplin is done making music anyway and who better to keep that rock alive then these young guys with the obvious talent to do it? Anyway, yes, if your used to their early stuff this is quite a shock to your system I bet. I know it was for me. I started following them after I heard Highway Tune. It’s very different indeed. He did rely a lot on his lower register for a long time, which is why I think that the direction they’ve decided to go with this album is fantastic. It really does demonstrate just how amazing his range is and how much control he’s got over it. It allows him to play with pitch a lot more and it makes the song so much more interesting when your waiting for him to do something unexpected with just his voice. Especially that Yodel quality. I don’t think I’ve ever heard another singer who relied on that skill so heavily in rock music. Country, maybe, and Yodel singers are impressive because you expect it to be impressive but the first time I heard Josh do it in the middle of rock song it caught me off guard for sure. This band has definitely developed their own sound and has strayed far from what they started with in their debut and I couldn’t be happier that they did. You can still make the connections and compare it and say he still sounds a bit like Robert Plant, but you cannot say that you can’t absolutely tell the difference if you heard one after the other on the radio. By the way, keep on the look out man. They are getting ready to drop another album in the summer in July and if you loved this there’s no doubt in my mind that their new stuff is going to be just as good. great reaction😄
Did you listen to "Highway Tune" yet? It sound like Led Zeppelin when they was younger but Greta Van Fleet ist good enough and they don't need to compare
You know who they really sound like? They sound like Greta Van Fleet. They are way better than all the old bands peeps compare them to. The old Boomers always got to compare them but if they would stop doing that they would see something amazing is happening here. What is so amazing? We got Generation Z listening to Rock music because this band speaks to them. Young kids don’t fucking want to hear Queen and Zeppelin. This band is the new generations Rock and Roll and it’s damn good stuff.
They've grown and the lead singer has been taking vocal lessons and coaching. They're incredible.
This band live was an out of body experience. Purely amazing.
I can't wait to see them! And I'm 63!
Imagine seeing led zeppelin live
@@samsmith4597 STFU hater. This band is better than Led Zeppelin. U watching legends happen
Josh sings way better than even Freddy Mercury
Yup!
this band has given me faith in the new generation and my fav band that's come out in the last 15 years
Keeping rock alive.
+ The Warning
+ Band Maid
Believe it or not, they sound even better live!!!
To me, he uses his voice as an extra instrument, like Geddy Lee, albeit WAY higher! Kid has some SERIOUS pipes !! I got the Zep vibes with their early stuff, notsomuch now .. They've definitely come into their own now!
I like his voice so much better than Geddy Lee.
I've always thought that! He's like an extra instrument!
I first saw these guys in November 2021 when they opened for Metallica at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia and they absolutely blew my mind!!!! I’ve been a fan ever since!!!!!
Listening to this song loud in the car after a long day of work is like a religious experience! It's a masterpiece! I love this band!
I just LOVE them! Agree, the are insanely great!

Dude he can sing just as perfect live. This band is beyond amazing and beyond anything I have heard in my lifetime.
Saw them last September. One of the best concerts I've seen in 71 years of a life. These kids are nothing Short of out of this world.
I’ve been waiting so long for you to listen to another GVF song 🥰🥰🥰
It's like Led Zeppelin, meets Rush, meets Fleetwood Mac. I love it.
I love watching you smile when you like a sound!🦋
Yes, country run, and a yodel.
Josh loves John Denver.
Good 👍 you got it.
You really should react to this whole album 😍
And they are just as great LIVE! Blew me out of the water when I saw them in concert!! Josh’s range is outer worldly. AMAZING BAND!! And a must see live
I always giggle when you say "Hs voice is high as hell, first and foremost!" lol! true though!
I can understand the queen sound on this song. A more zeppelin sounding one would be “Highway tune”
They're angels 😇 in this song if you listen to the lyrics and look at the white costumes and the veils. They're dead, behind the veil.
Requested this a year ago, glad you finally did it
Please react to Greta Van Fleet - Broken Bells (Candlelight Sessions)
I almost went to a concert last week

GVF are fabulous!

Hey its G5 and G#5 cheers :)
i seen greta open for metallica in Pittsburgh aug 14 2022.... and they are the new led zeppelin
More Led Zeppelin than Queen to me. But I like them.
I think you’d appreciate the newest song “ meeting the master”
They don't sound like their past stuff for the same reason Rubber Soul doesn't sound like Abbey Road.
Queen mixed with thin lizzy dude ;)
No it is Led Zeppelin and another older band I can't remember at this time that are their influences
I think they sound like Rush, but they said Aerosmith was an influence.
Yes and Rush
And John Denver, they love John Denver of all people. They do some covers of John's.
Did you listen to "Highway Tune" yet? It sound like Led Zeppelin when they was younger but Greta Van Fleet ist good enough and they don't need to compare
Review them more
Mackey James Sanders
No it was an omoge to Rush.
Its a yodel bro

Old Boomer here; never compared them to anyone. They are so themselves
