@@sajan5555 I thought durian and jackfruit was same. But nope. Anyways I love jackfruit chips. It's very like umm crispy, salty/sweet mixed. I get it for my gramma usually because she can't consume normal Indian food like me. It's just old age thing you know. She used to have when she was younger but now the slightest of spicy foods and snacks makes her sick. She likes jackfruit chips
Hi Jessica,, the ingredients in the mixture will be puffed rice, peanuts, boondi (small small balls made from gram flour even small sticks like that) fried gram, other spices for taste. All ingredients are deep fried items. For Soan papdi, made of gram flour, ghee, and sugar. That green one is pistachio. I hope you and the kid enjoyed the snacks.
Hey Jessica! Love these surprises! Indian namkeen is a VERY WIDE range of savoury snacks which act as great accompaniments to both tea and alcoholic drinks. We serve them with tea to guests in India, along with fresh hot snacks. The peanut candy bar is called ‘chikki Patti’…it’s one of the major sweet winter snacks in North India which gets very cold. It’s made of peanut and jaggery. India has a lot of sweets made from jaggery as a healthy alternative to sugar. In fact it’s very common to eat a piece of jaggery after dinner in winter to stay warm and satisfy those sweet cravings! You could find a wide range of textures in that too. Soan Papdi is a very gentle sweet, often makes for easy gifting during festivals and is easy on the palette. Getting sesame balls right is not easy, as they are tricky. My mom makes the most amazing sesame balls - not hard at all! Excited to see what you try next 😊. Lots of love to you and little Alfonso ❤❤
DAy by day getting addicted to this channel feeels like watching our family member who loves & appreciates indian culture & food😍stay blessed n happy keep making indians proud we feel greatfull watching your vids.😍❤
You would enjoy these snacks with popular masala tea. 🌸🌸 I love how was enjoying the chips despite it being spicy for him. He was sipping water yet ate. Loads of love ❤️
Everything u tried is very healthy snacks other than just taste it's traditionally healthier ones. Nice to see someone makes video on traditional side snacks. Believe Me, that sesame sweet is healthier than it looks. Better u google it to know well about those snack ingredients
We make the peanuts one at home using jaggery and peanuts ,just melt the jaggery ,put the peanuts and let it set aside and u get the best winter sweet 🤩🤩🤩🇮🇳❤️❣️
Soan papdi is so so much popular in India. I love that sweet since I was a kid and I still eat around festival and occasions as gifts from friends and relatives.
He so cute and he can handle spice at this age , i definitely saw a potential of handling pure indian spices after 15 years ❤ May god bless him with healthy and knowledgeable life
Try more products from Haldiram (same brand of Soan Papadi). They have a great range of sweet, salted and savoury sancks. Also, Their products wre very well balanced in texture and taste.
Peanut candy bar is my fav. Peanut candy is so useful when youre hungry and when u had nothing to eat . And soan papdi is also a luxury dessert made with sugar, milk and nuts . The green thing u ask about are pistachios. As an Indian im not a big fan of south Indian banana chips because its thick and is fried in coconut oil which starts to get smelly later . we have our own style of chips its very thinly sliced diagonally deep fried only with oil and salt to get the sweet taste of banana. Many Indians have tried our banana chips and chosed over the south Indian ones. Unfortunately we only have locally made chips than a big industry
Soan papdi is made from sugar and chickpea flour. Has Suttle flavors of cardamom and almonds and the green ones are pistachios.... love how soan papdi just melts in your mouth.
Alfonso should say "What the Snack👌 instead of What the heck"😄 Do try more snacks and deserts as there are so many types from all over India....just that the spice level might be a trouble. 👌😎🇲🇾
Yah, there's soo many snacks. Nilamels Kerala mixture(spicy), achappam, murukku(different types), Mr. John's ripe banana chips... These are all from the south . Also try Punjabi mix , it's also good. Also you will find sooooo many types of mixture...there's also kurkure... Many types of each. Ha, the sesami balls, I had never liked, just too hard and a lack of flavour. Just keep trying more items, you will find a host of things you like. As for dessert, 100% it's better when it's fresh .. but yah have to hunt them down.
You have to watch how that soan papdi is made, how they make sugar syrup and change that to this form...try fresh Indian snacks and sweets...you will love India dear..ithink your little one liked soan papdi
It is a cotton candy India version" it is called peech mitai". Outside you will get it fluffy.. made out of sugar, Multipurpose flour and chic pea flour... very famous.. but Haldirams makes it thick blocks... Only problem with it is it will crumble and keep on falling all over the floor and clothes.
I live in Dallas Tx. When I buy snacks at Patel Brothers I always check the expiry date. You too please check the date. I found couple of times they sold me an expired date snack.
