Oh man! Every time I watch biscuits and gravy vids, my mouth waters! You knocked this out of the ballpark as always man - we did our roux a bit differently, but that’s what I love about the BS, so many ways to get things done right!! Smashed the like button man.🤙🤙

Chocolate gravy is awesome! It’s basically like warm chocolate pudding over a hot buttermilk biscuit, sweet and savory!

I reside in Pennsylvania and I love the local food including SOS but, when I go to Kentucky to visit my Aunt and Uncle the sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast is always my favorite. Nobody can beat my Aunt Rosie's sausage gravy and biscuits. You made a valiant effort though and I was close to licking the screen. Thanks for sharing.

I grew up in New England and we ate chipped beef gravy (we called it creamed chipped beef) over boiled potatoes. It was a rib-sticking staple in our house. I haven’t seen the jarred beef in years but used to love it.

Sausage gravy is my all time favorite!!! Now that's some good groceries folks. My in-laws always ask me to make a big batch of biscuits and gravy every Christmas morning, since I've moved to Minnesota. This is exactly how I learned to make the gravy. I'm gonna have to try them biscuits that way, looks good Hussey! Also, I'm not gonna lie, I watch Golden Girls too, the old t.v. shows are the best.

Thanks a lot. Now I got a craving for biscuits and gravy. I am glad I got some sausage on hand. Gonna be a good brunch tomorrow with loaded biscuits. Biscuits with sausage gravy, egg, sautéed onions and cheese. You did well. Hadn’t thought about baking biscuits on the Blackstone.

Nicely done, Huss! Great improvisation with the protein change up. The mark of a true chef, you can change gears at the last second and still create a great meal. That gravy pour was 🔥🔥, buddy. It looked so delicious!! Would you believe me if I told you that I’ve never had biscuits and gravy before? I’ve always wanted to, it’s just never happened for some odd reason. That and chicken fried steak... those are two things that I need to try. But man, there is just no way Rue McClanahan was the best Golden Girl. Gotta go with Betty White. She is a national treasure! 😂🤣. Thanks for the great video, Matt! Hope you’re getting a little reprieve from that heat and humidity? Until next time, take care!!

I bought a roasting pan with a grate in it. I put a handle on the bottom of the pan. I cook my biscuits at 350 on the grate with the pan for a lid. I turn them when bottoms are brown. I like them better than ones I’ve done in the oven.

Chocolate gravy is good but man is it ever rich! SOS for me growing up was made with ground beef.
On the chip beef gravy, I personally find that making it a day before is better. It allows the saltiness of the beef to salt the gravy.
