- Foo Fighters - My Hero
A very early rare version of the Foo Fighters song "My Hero". This version was recorded at
the Lowlands Festival on 08/27/1995. Notice the lyrics are very incomplete. This song would be
featured on their release "Colour and the Shape" in 1997 and released as a single.
Soundboard Recording
This song was originally written in Grohlenese. It was translated to English for the album version.
There. Goes. My Hero. Ready-savvy-own!
I was there.
video would have been great :) ty for this still, awesome
william goldsmith played the song first and for that he was still playing drums in foo fighters
at 0:56 "there goes ma heroes, readed sailor rode" :D
fuckin' amazing.
@pmaicol They didn't have the lyrics finished yet he said at one point.
Think he’s just singing phonetically as the lyrics weren’t actually written. Obviously they changed a lot, but I think he just had the melody for live early days.
early version, because there's different lyrics
Does anyone know where i could find these old "long-gone" Lyrics? I'd love to know them.
+Terataxx Bröd What lyrics?
This song's lyrics. They have changed the lyrics when the song was released in 1997. I'd like to know the lyrics that were used in 1995.
Alrighty.

His hero was Kurt
I thought it was his mom..but of course you know better....
@@sebastiankrajewski2029 It can be about both. He clearly says "You know my hero, the one that's on the left" in the demo though, and Kurt was always to Dave's left in Nirvana.
