Great advice and piece of kit but please remember to switch the electricity supply to the boiler off before starting this procedure.Also,a small amount of automotive anti-freeze in the toilet bowl,cistern and sink/shower wastes will help prevent freezing of any water which is difficult to remove.

Saw the video, brilliant. Bought it and it was amazing, drained off in no time at all. One tip, be at the pumping end and tell to wife to open the taps, she'll get wet instead of you.

i wouldnt say this is a joke, simple and effective, it keeps my static water free for the winter, and as i go down every weekend in the winter, its a ten minute job to drain it, thus keeping the money in my pocket and not John Brown the plumbers pocket!!

Hi Jason, how does this work if you have two toilets? Without getting on hands a knees and trying to figure out how to isolate one of the toilets, this method won't work because the first toilet (once drained) is going to be open.
What precautions are needed when after the winter you want to put the water back on?

The floe draindown tool has jumped in price it was £22 last year, to over £54 this year.

Can someone tell me what is the reason once drained down why you have to leave all taps open thank you
Hi Lesley. Leaving the taps open after a drain down, should be done for 2 reasons. First, if you missed a part of the water system, the water can freeze and creep up the lines. Second, the oxygen in air is a good steriliser, so the system can breathe and stay relatively sterile while the property is not occupied. Of course, if you were only leaving for a short time, you could leave the taps off, for convenience. Hope this helps. Regards.... The Floe Team
just cut an airhose extension neatly with a garden secateur, dip the end in hotwater and push it onto to a metal hose connector-

or put a bit of garden hose onto the nipple of a compressor directly, hold it on with a jubilee clip
This seems like a useful product, but the video has two major errors.
Firstly, the traditional method of draining pipes is not to blow the water "the wrong way" to the taps - most parks disconnect the water supply at the inlet to the holiday home and connect their compressor there to blow the water out. The removal of shower valves is recommended by the manufacturer as they are easily damaged if there is any water left in them.
Secondly, the idea of connecting the FLOE device to an outside tap is poor - newer taps should have a non-return valve similar to that described for shower valves so it should not be possible to blow air in through the tap
Buyers should be aware that the air flow generated by small 12v tyre inflators may be insufficient to remove all the water from the pipework - though they may be adequate
apart from dismantling the non return valve which would probably open them up to being sued and the customer left with the possibility of back syphoning, why don't the site engineer instead of doing it the wrong way, just use one of these ? also I note there is no advice to reassemble the non return valve ?so you may end up very ill
If you own a static caravan then you probably have a fair amount of common sense, so do you really need advice on reassembling the non-return valve?

It can be viewed by anyone with possibly no common sense , each step is explained including the common sense reason for the procedure, it would not have taken much longer and been a responsible act by a commercial company in what is a free advert to mention not to forget to reassemble the non return valve
