I remember these times well and it's amazing that is it such a long time ago but it seems like yesterday. No one (outside of hardcore and knowledgable Man United fans) had even heard of David Beckham at this point. Certainly as a West Ham fan the names Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole weren't even on the radar! Now they're pretty much all retired.
Back in the days of Julio geordio at newcastle
King Kev.
+0898007 i'd love it if we beat them. LAWL cheer up kevin keegan...
Makes you laugh when you look at the money paid for players in transfers then compared to now. £55m altogether then you only just get 1 player for that now!!
Clough, Walker & Keane were all in a great Forest team just over 15 months before. 92/93 wasn't a great season for us!!
Newcastle lost 0-1 to Spurs that day, a dismal defeat. Beardsley missed the first 10 games (thanks to the thug Ruddock) and they struggled initially, but once was he came back there was no stopping them.
@13 seconds.Isn't Alan Hansen good looking !
Anyone know what that Charity match was at the beginning that Hansen played in.
93 charity shield
@@billyclutterbucket2754 It can't of been for two reasons, 1:Liverpool did not play in the charity shield that year. 2: Why would Hansen have played in a Charity Shield match? It was most likely someones testimonial.
Champman 0102 definitely not, as that was Anfield. And the charity shield was at Wembley
Someone's testemonial.
Ronnie Whelan's testimonial against Newcastle. The game where Neil Ruddock injured Peter Beardsley.
Ozzie sounds like a deaf person trying to speak.
Razor Ruddock went on to be a fat, dirty, bankrupt slob. Funny how things work out!
