These are such great videos for people who might want to try cube but find it overwhelming. I also love how paul is trying out different decks for every video
Arena Cube is so interesting to watch. The way you drafted here was so different from how Nummy or LSV drafts. There's just no way anybody else would've arrived at the deck you made given the same packs. Was not expecting the 7-0, the deck played out way better than I thought it would. Uro was definitely the MVP and Grenzo just terrorizes every format he's in.
@@haumphbreach, grenzo, and emrakul are top tier win cons even though there are a lot of big spells in cube. There are a decent amount of mana rocks and ways to get them out fairly consistently
@@haumph fair, there are a lot of expensive cards that do a ton, but breach is one of my personal favorites. Kenji loves it too, just in case you need a "family" reason haha
It's wild to me how important deluge and damnation were to letting us beat those aggressive decks and both of them wheeled to us. People are sleeping on sweepers.
Wow, back to back nailbiters … they must have watched your boros draft from 2 days ago 😅! So many boros beatdown opponents, really scary stuff. But this deck you drafted was so awesome, some cheap interaction, landfetch, draw + boardwipes into Uro,Thragtusk, Grenzo. Had a blast watching these games , gg wp sir !
Nice game plays. I usually draft these kind of decks in cube, but I can’t pilot it well. I guess I’m not prioritizing lands as much as you do, and ended up cutting a lot of playables but lousy fixing. Great vid. I’m learning a lot!
I love Swords to Plowshares greatest removal spell ever printed and only one xolor, but interestingly Phlage has the 2nd highest GIH win rate of any card in the arena cube, so it is a closer pick than it seems. But swords is probably the correct pick, i will say it is pretty easy to play 3/4 color decks in arena cube, most people undervalue the fixing especially he fetches.. great video! ( As usual) Thanks.
I feel like it helped that you played against other aggro/midrange decks, and your 5C midrange would beat out any of those. Perhaps it's a really smart idea to not pick Breach, Etali, Magma Opus, Sublime, etc. 'cause I'm certain if you have those in your deck, matchmaker would pit you against tougher control decks.
For some reason I get irrationally angry when Paul reads Jeweled Mine Overseer and refuses to finish the texbox, where "this also draw you carfs" text is hidden.

Glad you like them!

Lots of ways to draft cube and that's what makes it great. Games go long so how you play the games is just as important than the draft.
dread it. run from it. 5 colour control still arrives. and now it's here. or should i say, paul is
Bradlock here, worst game of that run unfortunately. Did end up getting the 7 wins though
gz!
@ thanks, I wish I gave you a better game
Your emote game was pristine throughout and your deck looked like a blast! GG on the 7-up!
Breach the Multiverse is absolutely insane in this format, it's 7 mana win the game pretty much
Also, Nantuko slicer is any card, not just creatures, so it's eternal witness for 1 more mana plus the kicker upside
Pick 3 taking breach especially after key would’ve been sick.
I don't prioritize taking 7 drops all that highly as I find them largely replaceable. Breach is extremely powerful though.

This deck was definitely my cup of tea. Great vid.

yeah sweeper are pretty solid in arena cube

ggs!
5 color soup decks are so fun. Sometimes you get lucky and the draft pod never takes lands either.

Awesome!
I would definitely say I struggle mightily with the "if everything is a bomb, nothing is" nature of cube more than anything else.
Grenzo is just nuts. Nice vid, congrats on the trophy.
Ty!
I'm having fun watching these.
glad you enjoy!
7:15 wheeling ancestral recall is legit beyond insane lmao
I love arena cube!
I’m actually a big fan of field of the dead in this format games usually get long in grindy because everyone wants to do the control thing
Yeah I didn't realize how much of a mid-range slugfest Arena cube ended up being.
Ngl opening that can of whoop ass- I mean diet coke did sound refreshing
The uro life gain was so clutch :D
Definitely!

Yeah I was super impressed with phlage
white blue teferai with thousand moons and oracle
The Moment he asked "Sorry!" for burping I was like:"Bro, I Watch Lsv everyday, I am used tò worst than that"❤
Saw you ran into the Kenji dimir buzzsaw recently, was a great game to watch
Edit: stay open, get grenzo, format solved 😂
There is a challenge though: Figure out either a Yorion companion or a flicker deck with ephemerate, elesh norn and saiba syphoner. Good games though!
ggs
Yeah and theres a alchemy frog that flickers too, very good with all these ones u said
At 20:40 you called it a sick awesome domain deck. I’m not sure what a domain deck is. Is that based on the domain Keyword?
5-colors
Got a little bit scared when you hopped in the game so fast 😅 . ( the mana fixing )

Don't think that's how matchmaking works.
Let’s goooooo best notification every morning
Can't stop won't stop
That was an absurdly late Emrakul pack three, like, actual zero chance it should be passed. It's expensive but it just wins every time you cast it
lots of expensive cards win when you cast it
Pick 2 Breach the Multiverse deserves consideration. 2nd highest winrate behind Grenzo.
17lands tracks winrate for cube?!?! I haven't been looking at all!
It’s there a reason you didn’t Buried in the Garden that Warleaders Call that was dealing you so much damage
How do you not take Golos when in 5 colors, it's so awesome! Cool deck though :)
Good question!
For some reason I get irrationally angry when Paul reads Jeweled Mine Overseer and refuses to finish the texbox, where "this also draw you carfs" text is hidden.
Just go for a walk and you'll be okay.
I like this content, but i really miss DSK limited draft.
i'll bring them back for sure!
