The Yolink door sensor has an Operating Temperature Range: 32°F - 122°F (0°C - 50°C). Depending on where you live, a better choice available now may be the Yolink Outdoor Contact Sensor with an Operating Temperature Range: -4°F - 122°F (-20°C - 50°C).

I put a Yolink door sensor in a Mail Boss box at the end of a long driveway. I was amazed that it still could communicate with the hub. I will measure the distance to the box and report back.

How far can the signal transmit inside all that metal. Shouldn't there be an antenna hanging out the side of the box?

I have a situation where I will have to mount the magnet perpendicular (instead of parallel) to the sensor and want to insure that the sensor will work properly. It appears as though you mounted the magnet 90 degrees from the normal installation mode, where both the sensor and magnet are on the same plane. Am I correct? Did mounting the magnet 90 degrees to the sensor cause any problems?
