Welcome to my homeland Sabah! Don't forget to visit Semporna, Mabul, Mataking for oceans. Kundasang for farm combo with Kinabalu mountain with a slightly bit colder environment.
We did a whole tour of Sabah! Got to see the rafflesia, Kinabalu NP, Poring Hot Springs, Sepilok and Sandakan and the Kinabatangan Jungle! We had an incredible time Sabah is one of the most unique and special places in the world!
Yes unfortunately some people see no problem with not cleaning up after themselves and a lot of rubbish ends up in the ocean, it’s such a shame because the islands are so beautiful!
@rangeless_ tourism has a drawback. Some tourists threw the items on the beach and it gets washed onto the sea either by wind blowing or by high tide. I felt so sad. Recently a clean up was done around the area by scuba divers, 12 tonnes were collected !
@@keangwooichoo6138 Of course anywhere there is a lot of people there is bound to be those who do not clean up afterr themselves. We are glad that the scuba divers are willing to help with cleanup - With the amount of trash we saw Id believe 12 tons was collected!
@rangeless_ in my opinion the trash can be from filipino refugee water village too at gaya island nearby. It is not necessary from the city. We shld never create a refugee settlement at the marine park which gaya is part of. Sabahans who was born in kk mentioned to me that gaya island used to hv blue water and nice beach. But not anymore where it is facing kk.
The most obvious source would be the hundreds of tourists visiting the islands and not being careful to properly dispose of their rubbish - it is such a shame though - maybe the government needs to enact higher fines for littering in protected areas. - or a public awareness campaign to highlight the effects of littering on the natural beauty of the area?

I did 3 islands tour instead - Manukan, Sapi and Gaya - all decent
It is nice especially for how close it is to the city. But you need to be at the pier early to do multiple islands in one day 👍
Welcome to borneo
Thank you! 😊
Visit Sri Lanka . that will be the best destination both of you.
One of us has been to Sri Lanka before and even got their tuktuk licence there! - Can you guess which one?
Thanks for the advice. So sad there are plastics at the bottom. Coral bleaching is due to temperature. Mainly global warming.
