Hi Dave, Love your playing. I have been playing pedal steel since 1958. Started out on a Fender 1000. Bought a ZB Cutom double neck in 1974 and have played for several Country Stars over the years. I'm 80 years old now , but still going !! Love your playing !!! Roy from Kettle Falls WA.

I have not heard of a Rains Steel guitar. I play a Sho-bud Pro I twelve string. You play very good. Silver Wings was one of my wife and my favorit songs. She passwed away 30 months ago. Miss her so much.
This brings back memories...big time. My best friend, way back in my teens', Mother just Loved "Silver Wings" so I would bring my guitar when I went to his parent's house and me & him would play that for Her. His Daddy liked "Put silver Wings on my Son's chest", so we would play that for him. We would go to various folks parties and play country music. That was 50 years ago !!! This piece you played reminded me of a fellow that played the peddle steel, His Sister would sing when we played at the various parties & get togethers. It was always a true treat to back him up in a band setting. He could "blow smoke" around us...he needed to be on the Grand Ole Opry ! He played just like you do ! ((as Jack Benny used to say, "Thanks for the memory!")) Bill, from Tn. 🇺🇸
