When I sit down to watch video I like it to be at least half hour or more instead of pushing buttons to find more things to watch .👍

I camp for work five days a week. This would be great to get and keep my comfort up in the Tennessee weather. It changes like a wife changes her mind 😅

THIS IS MY FAVORITE COOKING SHOW ON THE INTERNET!! Love the rain in the background…so cool. That ding dang one Tigris emblem at the end of the video kept making me thing it was somebody peaking up over the table 😂😂😂!!! These just keep getting better and better, Brother! What a blessing❤

Brother John, drill a few holes in that pot lid and the steam will escape. A few years back, I did some test baking with my alcohol stove in an upright pot. Got pretty good at it too, however, most stuff had a well-done bottom and a just cooked top. Still tasted good.

Thanks John, I lived in a tent for a year in Washington state. Heated it with and Airtight Wood stove. I was a fun experience.

Thank You! From searching UA-cam, I haven't seen anyone else do anything like this with a tent stove.

Thanks for the video and great idea for the baking possibility on the hot tent wood stove. I would have heated those items in a fry pan, but cooking in the oven probably turned out better.

I agree with the pan fry idea! I just wanted to do something quick and easy to test my Billy Can Bake Oven Idea.

Not bad but since you are jeep camping with that big stove you need a Colman folding oven…and some delicious and inexpensive Jiffy cornbread mix…the best and sweetest cornbread in the world…Have fun stay safe.

Awesome vid John ~ my home oven heats from the bottom too. The point of baking is just to get the food on a shelf in the middle of the "oven," which you've done (no top fire required unless "broiling"). The innovative feet rule ~ I'm going to try pipe clamps too (with clamp screws on opposite sides of the bottom, acting as feet).

Hey, great video. I was thinking of buying one of these, so I went onto Amazon and there you were. They were showing me the video of you unboxing one of these I sure hope you got paid well for that but it’s definitely a nice stove. thanks for the video.

Unfortunately, I received no payment. They contacted me and asked permission to post it on their website and I agreed. I looked at a lot of stoves before I chose this one. It serves my purposes superbly! I'm very happy you liked the video! I've loved "Hot Tenting" with this combo!

I have a stock pot that only needs a 7x7" grate to be *perfect*- but I can't find one, darn it!

Also heard that blowing up pads with mouth also puts moisture in pad which gets cold also messing up r-factor.

No offense John but that oven (50:30) looks like a Lex Luthor Kryptonite IED to me.
If you travel to any bushcraft events I wouldn't try to take it through an airport. Just sayin.

I’m loving this setup! Thank you for posting the video. Would definitely like to try using a Billy Can oven with my Winnerwell Woodlander medium. So much more affordable than the standard pipe oven. Plus I think it would be more fulfilling to “create” rather than purchase the finished product.
Quick question… can you please pass along the dimensions of the pan you used? I think you mentioned the size of the rack. Will go back and watch again so I can write that down. Anyway… great stuff here! Just fun to watch and think about and hopefully replicate. 👍 God bless you, your family and the path before you. 😊

      Here is some info on the pan: Weight: 6.4 oz. Dimensions 6 1/2″ X 5 3/4″ X 1 5/8″ deep (outside dimensions)
I've been bombarded with things I've had to take care of on the weekends, hopefully I'll get out soon the do my final "planned" video (The Set-up) on the CozShack soon. God's Blessings be upon you and yours!

Definitely test the klymit pad outside in the cold too not just in a hot tent. Not that long ago (less than 5 years) they used a different rating system than the industry standard. Ive got an insulated and a non-insulated pad from them, both have a rating significantly higher than what they actually are (the insulated is rated as something like 4.7 when its actually even worse than my thermarest closed cell foam which is about 1.7 and the non-inulated is basically just sleeping on the ground with some padding). My friend also has the insulated one and he froze his butt off about the same as I did with just a poncho liner and poncho.
Supposedly they've brought their stuff in line with the industry R ratings, but I've swapped over to other more reputable brands with the Klymit ones as last ditch back up or summer use only and haven't looked back.

Good information with real examples Thank you for sharing this. I purchased this to be used exclusively with my cot. I also put a USMC Thermorest pad under it (to even out the slightly stretched out old cot). I probably wouldn't use it for ground camping. When I do ground camp the Eco Tech pad goes inside my bag.
