Each user is different and has different needs. In DSS you can set up each client in different way based on the situation or based on user preferences.
I am running DSS Express. All of my DVR's are on different networks. I am trying to get them pointed back to my DSS Express server. I can get them connected through the P2P option, not through the IP configuration. I have my ports forwarded to my server, do I have to do forwarding at each DVR site?
Hi, I have the following issue. When using 2 screens the software breaks and the OS restarts. but when using it on a single screen there is no problem, I can't find the solution for it, try using another version of software. specifications of my pc. Hi generally this is not really the configuration of the PC which is recomended. There might be some problem with the driver of your graphical card. For the client PC Dahua and all the other manufacturers recomend all the time Intel CPU (better performence on decoding H264 or H265). material.dahuasecurity.com/uploads/soft/20240118/DSS-Express_System-Requirements-and-Performance_V8.4.0_20240117.pdf Please also go to local settings of your DSS Client software ( main screen on the right side) and choose for decoding GPU not CPU.I hope this will help since we support up to 4 monitors for live view and this is not common problem at all so it is problem of your PC
Make sure that primary and secondary streams are allowed or change settings for the videowall for streaming. This can be found in Local settings in DSS client
You need to install dss on your server and you can setup your account. If you forget your password. You can follow the instructions. You need to know the answer s on security questions which you set it up while installing DSS
I have DSS Express v8.3.0, free version. I need to set the detection "Zone" for each camera. That's easily found in SmartPSS (Device CFG > Event > Video Detect), but where is it in the DSS client? Many other settings too I'm failing to find in DSS Express, that are very easily found in SmartPSS - e.g. how to format the device SD Card. Some of the other settings that DID appear in v8.2.0 (camera video settings for day & night, etc.), have now vanished in v8.3.0. I looked and looked and looked all over thru many menus, but failed in great frustration & loss of much valuable time. Please help.
@@DahuaDSSPro Need step-by-step instructions please. The cameras I have come with no WEB GUI outright, but the model is claimed to be ONVIF compatible.

hi for p2p you do not have to forward any ports on Server side and also on Client side where are NVR or DVR.

cameras can be set up via WEB GUI of the camera not in DSS any more
