This was really helpful, I followed all the steps but for some reason the startup disc is not giving me an option to select anything other than the primary Catalina OS (No other options available). When I press "option" on restart, it just goes straight into Catalina. Any suggestions?
When you installed Catalina your system it automatically reformatted your entire internal hard drive to APFS. Note: If you purchased a product with Catalina already installed on your computer it will have already been formatted with APFS; but don’t be concerned, you will still be able to reformat the partition that you intend to run Mojave on as macOS extended journaled. Hence, you will need to Reformat the partition that you initially attempted to install Mojave on from APFS to “macOS extended journaled”. Once you have reformatted the partition that you originally attempted to.installed Mojave on, it will be erased. Therefore, you will need to restart the entire procedure that video provide you. Memo: assuming that you initially installed Mojave on the partition formatted with APFS, it will seem as though Mojave is installed. However, it will not operate correctly as a 32-bit system with most third-party apps because the partition was formatted in APFS. Memo: Mojave was not designed to be installed on a PFS format. Hence, you will need to
How does one undo a dual boot setup? I was on El Capitan and setup up a dual boot with Catalina. I want to merge/consolidate everything to Catalina. I realize not all the apps from el cap will function. Mostly just want my data files. Thanks!
Didn't watch the whole video but you put a smile in my face with how your video plays ethereal music then you jump in the middle of it with your instruction then back to the music. I like your sense of humor. Will be back to finish the video later.

Installing MacOS *_MOJAVE_* on *APFS* causes an error message to appear saying; _The Current Disk Filing System has features not compatible with this Operating System (MOJAVE)_ How do you get around this??? I've been attempting to Format my SSD & create two partitions; 1x HFS+ and 1x APFS. However APFS *_wants_* to be the Dominant File System. If I format the drive as HFS+ and then create an APFS Partition, the APFS partition is created, but also the original HFS+ drive/partition is ALSO converted to *_APFS_* I require one HFS+ partition (for Mojave) and the other partition as APFS (for Monterey), but I'm yet to discover a way to retain the HFS+ partition along side an APFS partition... 😕🤔
I am having problems because I can't seem to get Catalina on my usb drive. I am typing in the right commands in my terminal, but it's not working. It says it is not not a valid mount point. And I transferred the Catalina installer to my flash drive. And I also created a new volume for my Catalina installation. But it keeps saying it is not a valid mount point. And I am not sure on what to enter in the terminal after the createinstallmedia --volume. Mine looks like this: --volume /Volumes/MyVolume. But I don't know on what to put where it says Volume and MyVolume. Okay so I need help here. Also, do I need to put a single dash after create install media command? And the name of my flash drive is called just Catalina. Okay, so I need help with this. Because it's not working for me. Okay so thanks a lot.
Hi, great video but does not work with new Macs already shipped with Catalina. My Mac is from 2020 and have Catalina installed and I’m struggling to install Mojave. Any idea how to do it?
When I try to do step 3, after doing the --volume, adding the bootable drive to terminal, press enter. I enter my password and then I do not have the prompt where you press "y" for yes... instead I get this message: Arguments--volume, A path to a volume that can be unmounted and erased to create the install media. --applicationpath, A path to copy of the OS installer application to create the bootable media from. --nointeraction, Erase the disk pointed to by volume without prompting for confirmation. Example: createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath "/Applications/Install OS X El Capitan.app" Nash@macusers-MacBook-Pro-99 ~ % and I'm not sure what to do? I did all the prior steps according to the video.
question: Can I access to all my files from booting to both macOS or only from one ? I've done the dual boots but the second OS do not have access to the files...
Hi. Can you please help me with this: all of my disks are locked. And I can't install the newly created drive to install high sierra on the second volume. How do I target and unlock the correct drive or to unlock all of them? My main working drive is Catalina and I don't want to touch that.
Thank you for this very helpful video. One question, now on my desktop in Catalina I see the main hard drive and also one called "Mojave Partition?" ?? Any idea if that is an error?

If you have a new Mac (2020) with the security chip, you’ll need to first allow your device to boot from an external hard drive. This is a good video, but it is already obsolete.
Thank you for such a well made tutorial, excellent work.
